About this item

  • Cost Control: 50A AC power meter efficiently manage costs and conserve energy by leveraging real-time power monitoring. Identify energy waste or inefficient devices, monitor voltage fluctuations, temporary drops, surges, and other potential interferences affecting electrical equipment performance. Take proactive measures to optimize energy utilization, ensuring a more economically efficient electricity consumption
  • Electrical Safety Assurance: Enhance electrical safety by addressing issues in aging electrical equipment, such as over-powering, excess rated current, and overload problems. NXQWLL monitor provides real-time monitoring of the electrical status of these devices, promptly detecting and rectifying abnormal data
  • Precision Monitoring: Experience high-precision monitoring with a digital multimeter equipped with sensitive electromagnetic coils. Monitor real-time and accurate data including voltage, current, power, frequency, and power factor. Product specifications include AC voltage: AC 40-300V, Alternating current: AC 0-50A, Power factor: 0.00-1.00PF, Electric energy range: 0-99999kwh
  • Versatile Applications: The 14-50R socket finds primary applications in large RVs and camping trailers with power-hungry devices such as air conditioning units and kitchen appliances. Meanwhile, the AC power meter has widespread use in industrial conditions, distribution systems, renewable energy setups, laboratories, and research facilities. Support various electrical appliances within 300V
  • Data Recording and Recovery: Even during power outages, the monitor continues to record and preserve historical electricity data, facilitating tracking of device usage and analysis of consumption trends. Long-pressing the button on the right side of the screen allows for the reset of recorded electricity data, making it convenient for monitoring another appliance or experiment

The unit is well constructed & the display is super easy to read with bright, different colored readings. The plug & receptacle seem to be of good quality. The temperature at the connections gets a little warm, but not hot with 32 amp car charge current over several hours. I believe this is normal & I would only be alarmed if it were very warm or hot. I am a little disappointed that they chose 10awg cord for the input as it should only be rated for 30 amps, but it is a short cord & the cord itself does not get even slightly warm with a 32 amps current draw. If I get a new charger that draws 48 amps, I will definitely want to monitor the temperature of that cord, but I suspect it might still be ok. I can always replace the cord & cord cap with #6 or even #8 SO cord might be ok if the factory cord is getting too warm. I am trusting that the readings are accurate, as it seems like the numbers are about what they should be. The kWh reading is wonderful for tracking Miles/kWh efficiency of my EV as well as the cost to charge my EV at SCE rates. Another minor complaint is that the reset button is recessed, so I need a paper clip to press the button to reset the kWh reading before starting a vehicle charge. It is not a deal breaker, but why not just put a raised button there?Overall, I am very pleased with this unit. Being lightweight & portable, this device can be taken in the vehicle to plug in at someone else's house that is equipped with a 14-50 receptacle to monitor how much power is drawn from their home so I can pay for the power that I use to charge there.

I'd be skeptical that this thing can handle 50 amps but only have 10 gauge copper wire. Normally you need 6 gauge wire for that many amps per code. This could be a fire risk.

The product is supposed to monitor the current, voltage, KWH and a few other details of the power.Product only monitors ONE of the 240v power legs. Does not advertise this. Product only see's HALF of the current usage. If both legs of the 240v supply use different currents, this will NOT be accurate for power consumption calculation. WHICH MEANS, this will only see up to 25 AMPS, not 50 AMPS as advertised. Since the connector NEMA14-50R is rated at 50Amps with both power legs combined.
