Measure correctly, and the stainless steel is a plus, especially in outside applications, where moisture is an issue.

They work, but the heads are a tad soft and so you need to get the screwdriver size exactly right. And if the screw gets stopped by a knot etc, the head will easily twist off. So these are cheap for a reason. Still, they do the job and are worth it if the project uses materials on the lighter side.

These are nice screws, the finish on them holds up to driving in without chipping and after a while outside, the finish still looks good. The price for these screws is very good compared to other gloss black wood screws.

I got these for a Vine product review to use with a cat house I plan to make.PROS* very good quality screws* self screwing, do not need to predrill holes* corrosion and rust resistant so I will be able to have the cat house outdoors in the rain* good price for 100* flat head so they do not stick out once screwed inCONS* none for meRECOMMEND for any home project!

Using them to replace rusted out screws in house windows hardware - fit the driver well and screw in just fine. Have done 3-4 windows so far without any issues other than having to file the heads flush because I ordered a size up on purpose (to be secure in the old holes in the wood - totally my issue).I might order a size down from the same supplier to test the security in the old holes and see if I can avoid the extra work.
