This Wdt Tool Espresso Accessories Kit is a great addition to my coffee bar and has worked great while I learn to use my new espresso machine and all of the accessories. I didnt know I needed all of the "stuff" to make the process easier, but apparently I do, and I'm glad to have this set. It's good quality and a really good value for the price.

Slightly fiddly stirrer. Decent Puck Screen (though it is very hard to clean). My favorite piece is the magnetic fill guide which is actually very usefull. Keeps me from making as big a mess as I usually would. Cautiously recommended.

The dosing funnel creates a gap between coffee and coffee basket so, I just don’t see you can evenly distribute coffee. The puck screen fit my machine, but it didn’t create a smooth flow of coffee so, I stopped using it. The distributor works okay; sometimes it actually clumps up freshly ground coffee. It only works if you go up/down motion with it. The distributor also came with extra spikes. In my opinion, the only part that’s “useful” is the distributor.

I see a lot of stirrers online, but what I liked about this set is that it also came with a funnel and a puck screen. The set is 51mm, both the funnel and puck screen fit my machine perfectly. The funnel has 4 tiny magnets that attach it to your basket insert. The magnets hold it well to the basket. The funnel helps keep the grinds in the basket and not all over when you use the stirrer to evenly distribute the grinds.I had heard of using a puck screen to keep your machine shower cleaner and to get better water distribution through the puck. Using the puck screen, I will say that both are true. For comparison I made a shot without the screen and then one immediately after with the screen. To my eye, the shot made with the screen had a more crema. Also looking at the grinds there were no water tracks on the puck on the one made with the screen, which means the water distribution was very even. The stirrer is made nicely in aluminum, it comes with 10 needles but there are only 7 holes, which I thought were enough. The reason I gave this 4 stars is because the part with the needles doesn't screw into the base, I though if they were both threaded it would make sense. In conclusion, everything is well made, and I especially like the funnel and screen. The stirrer is nicely made but threads would make it even nicer.

I love coffee, but I'm not into the whole thing where I would spend hundreds on all the different gear. Maybe one day, but for now, it's just my preferred type of coffee. My little De Longhi machine works fine, but I do notice the flavor is sometimes inconsistent, and this came along so I decided to give it a try.My major concern was the first issue that I noticed when I opened it up -- no instructions. The stirrer requires assembly, and it was not immediately obvious how to do it. I did eventually figure it out. This stirrer has four extra needles (ten total, six are used by the stirrer) so if they break, you can replace a few. Not sure what we'd do if more than four broke. The stirrer is nice hefty steel, easy to use, doesn't look bad stored on the counter. Care is required when storing, since the needles are fragile. The dosing ring is also helpful.Overall, I think my espresso machine expects things to be just slightly bigger, so there's a gap around the edge of the screen, and the dosing ring leaves things puffed up in the middle, but that is remedied when I tamp it down.Overall, I've noticed an easier, smoother pull -- I do think it does have an impact. A little starter kit like this is a great gift, or if you're the coffee lover, you can buy it for yourself. It works really nicely for me, and I see no real downsides now that I've got it all figured out.

If you're checking this kit out, you probably know exactly what each tool in this kit does and how it helps improve either your procedure or the results of your espresso. But in the event you are a newbie, this kit contains the following three things:1. The distribution tool, which is machined out of metal for durability and comes disassembled - it's the three black pieces in my picture. To assemble it you take seven of the needles from the plastic bag, thread them through the small black disk looking thing with holes, then screw it into the handle, which is the roundish looking black object on the left. The longer black object on the right is simply a storage case. This tool helps to remove clumps of espresso that can form in your portafilter, and you use it prior to tamping for more even extraction.2. An espresso funnel, the metallic ring looking thing on the right of my picture. This is magnetic and attaches to your portafilter, reducing the chance of spillage of espresso grounds as you fill up your portafilter. Designed for a 51mm PF and feels quite solid. Definitely helps reduce mess.3. A round puck screen. This sits on top of your tamped down espresso to act as a barrier between the espresso puck and your machine's group head. It cuts down on the mess created when the puck contacts the group head, so it keeps your group head clean, you just have to wash the screen after usage. Made of stainless steel and works well.(Misc: the other items shown in the picture are a small plastic tube and red cap to hold extra needles, you get a few extra in case of breakage)So if your setup is in need of these three items, and you have a 51mm porta, this may be the perfect kit for you -- nothing here is absolutely essential for making espresso, but they will all help improve consistency and reduce mess.
