Easy to Use
Choose a suitable size tap for the thread pitch
The size of the National Pipe Taper taps is nominal, which corresponds to the size of the pipes fitting to be tapped. (It is not the actual dimension of the Taps.)
Insert the tap and tighten it
Screw it in clockwise direction until the tap reaches the end. For lubrication, it is recommended to apply cutting oil to the tap.
Remove the tap and the thread repaired
Unscrew in the opposite direction and remove the pipe tap.

Every tap set seems to have maybe one or two of the pipe thread taps, but for me, never the right one!I need 3/8, 1/2, and 3/4 all of the time! This is a good kit because pipe thread kits tend to either give you 1/8"-1/2", or 3/4"-1 1/4".This is the sweet spot in between as far as I'm concerned! It's got all three sizes you'll likely need for residential plumbing, or compressor lines in a shop, or laser chillers, or the likes.The taps work as expected, though you will need a larger pipe tap handle, as the shanks are not going to fit a traditional tap handle like you'd get in a set.Great price! The storage case is robust, and I'm a happy Boy!

These are comparable to box store products. The look well made and are sold construction. The case is even pretty sturdy. Good product
