I bought this to clean up threads when replacing the cathode rod in my RV hot water tank. I lubed it up with mineral oil and used a 3/4 ratchet with appropriate size socket to drive it. It worked well for what I needed it to do. If this was something I'd use regularly I would probably look for higher quality but this is a good choice for thread cleanup or occasional use.

J’ai acquis ceci pour refaire des filets hautement oxydés. Jai eu de tres bons résultats. A date une trentaine de filets ont été fraisés et l’outil coupe toujours aussi bien.

I had a PVC pipe crack off just above the top of the water heater. The installer had used pipe dope and it was impossible to get out. I bought an tried internal pipe wrench and tried it. No go. It just chewed up the PVC. Finally, I bit the bullet and tried this. Worked like a charm and cleaned all the plastic out. Just take it slow and be careful to follow the old threads,

My RV hot water tank anode rod boss threads were corroded to the pint that I could not start the first thread of a new replacement rod. I could not bring all my tools with me due to weight restrictions. I was without water let alone hot water. Amazon splendidly came through with exactly what needed fast. I ordered the tap on Friday and received it Monday morning. That speaks for itself.Wait to go Amazom. If you attempt this use caution gently apply torque and when the going gets hard back out clean the threads and restart. On potable water systems do not use oil or thread lube unless it is a new cut and able to wash with hot soapy water and clean rinse. Clean the tap, lubricate and place in a plastic enclosure for reuse.

Worked well. I used this to "tap" the bottom side of a couple dozen pipe flanges. Now I can screw the pipes all the way into the bottom of the pipe flanges. (This was for a monkey-bars project)
