Ok, yes, I broke down and purchased a faux 7.5' tree this year for the first time in 35 years. Why? Last year's Charlie Brown 6' was SO expensive...and lasted maybe 2 1/2 weeks before becoming a fire hazard.I mean, I love Christmas but love the roof over my head even more.I was skeptical at first. I purchased a 7.5' tree on Amazon: this year and it was a clearer than mud researching the stand diameter other than physically measuring it. (Yeah, started decorating before that). The standard 7.5' artificial tree BTW is 1.5" diameter for the stand.I've had one of those heavy duty 10lb 'Santa's helper' stands for decades that even survived a drive-over to bend one of the leg stands...(I'm just sayin' it wasn't me :)This is that equivalent for artificial trees. It comes with multiple size adapters, is easy to assemble and oh my! Does it look good! It's seriously as heavy duty as my rolling office chair. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it for years to come? Yes. Even if it didn't roll (but yeah, you know what I mean when you decorate your tree with vintage ornaments that are possibly more expensive than lunch), the smooth glide is a lifesaver. This is a bigtime yes buy -- it will last years to come and you cannot possibly go wrong.

Overall the product looks sturdy and can hold a lot of weight. It can easily hold different sized trees. Biggest issue for me is that it will not fit a standard 24 inch tree collar.. I have two tree collars this size and I really don’t want to buy new a new one because they are expensive. I would recommend this product if you plan to just us a tree skirt. Again… double check what you own if you plan to use a tree collar.

This stand is such a smart idea. Instead of using the stand that came with my artificial tree, I set it up in this stand that has smooth-rolling wheels. The stand has a clever design that allows it to accommodate many tree sizes and tree trunk diameters. It also holds my 7.5-foot tree very securely and sturdily, in fact it holds more securely than the stand that my tree came with. This tree stand is made of metal, and it's strong, sturdy and fairly heavy. The wheels roll so smoothly and are clear, so they don't mark my floor. We have polished concrete floors and this stand just glides across it -- we were testing the stand and kind of playing around with it, and the tree was really trucking across the floor if we gave it a careful shove. It's kind of funny to look up and see a huge Christmas tree go whizzing by. We tested the tree on carpet and it rolled fine there, too, though not as fast and easy as on smooth, polished concrete. All four wheels have brakes you can flip so that the tree does not roll.Having a rolling Christmas tree is very convenient for moving it from one place to another, such as from the garage into the living room, and also when decorating it. I placed the tree out in the middle of the room to decorate around all sides of it, then when I was finished, rolled it in place against the wall. So simple and smooth, rather than jerking the tree across the floor as all the ornaments wobble and clink into each other. Once Christmas is over, I can roll the tree into the garage, put a cover over the tree, and store it upright on its stand, instead of taking it apart and cramming it into the box it came in. I can even leave the extra lights on it (that I always add), and also the leave the garland on, though I will remove the ornaments. The stand is large and heavy duty. Unfortunately it is wider than my 28-inch tree collar, so for now I've turned that part of the collar to the back, to hide it up against the wall. I'll have to find a larger collar (not very many options wider than 28 inches) or use a skirt instead. It would be great if 612 Vermont made tree collars to fit their stands. Another thing to keep in mind if you plan to roll your tree into another room or into your garage to store it, is the width of your tree. My tree is quite fat at 56 inches across, which means it is too wide to fit through a standard 36-inch doorway. Luckily, our living room is open to our kitchen, which has French doors that will accommodate the width of the tree when both doors are open. Then we'll have to roll the tree from the back door around to the side yard where the garage doors are, and get it into the garage through the garage doors. Just something to keep in mind if you have a wide tree and do not have a wide enough door to get it from one room to another. If that's the case, you'll have to either push/squeeze your wide tree through any narrow doorways, or take it apart to get it from one room to the next, and not having to take the tree apart is the main appeal of a rolling tree stand, in my opinion.Regardless of those little blips, I'm giving this stand 5 stars for it's smart design, smooth-rolling clear wheels, and heavy-duty construction. It's a terrific idea. Every Christmas tree should be on wheels!
