All seems to work well, however the label for the input and output side was installed over the blue static film, and did not match the label stamped into the metal. I will still use it, but don't expect very much from it.

I can't speak for longevity currently, but it will work as a speed controller for a motor. I used it for my four year old's power wheels and it does change the output for the motor. If you hook your voltmeter to this, it will variate less than .5V. That's because this is a PWM and it doesn't change voltage. It changes the pulse widths for the motor. It worked just fine and was easy to install. I'll edit later for how long it lasts.

Several issues with this little guy. Skip to second paragraph below for pertinent information.I have a home franken-server in an old ThermalTake case. Case had/has a large 250mm fan on the side panel, but the standard PC type fans just don't move any air...couldn't blow a seed off a dandelion. Decided to reverse front fans to exhaust and replace the side mount 250 with a 12v 9" radiator fan. Overkill? Probably. But having an HBA and a RAID card in the case along with 15 hdd's and all other components means I'll take all the airflow I can get. Made a cable for the fan from an 8 pin modular cable from my PSU. Worked great, but wanted the ability to turn the fan down at night (low load times, less noise would be nice as it shares a wall with our bed room). Need something that can handle an 80w 12v fan. Enter the fan controller.Tested on bench on arrival. Works great. Didn't realize that this one doesn't have the longer wire for remote mounting the knob, which is important to me as the controller itself is inside my PC case. No biggie, stripped and extended wires quick and dirty (beanie connectors). Tested fine on bench. After install, no dice. Fan is on high and no response from control. Found that the connection at the knob is SUPER janky. it's a very fine wire, 28g stranded if I had to guess, and is held on the pin of the knob by only a tiny piece of heat shrink. Removed/desoldered, and replaced with some 4 conductor 22 I had on hand (only need 3 conductors). Tested again, worked great. Installed and went to bed.Woke up next morning to find drives on my LSI RAID card going missing/installed repeatedly, lights flashing on the PC app like a christmas tree, as if the drives were being yanked out and plugged back in repeatedly. Short version of this, ended up finding that this controller nuked a Corsair 1200w Platinum power supplies center rail. Luckily it was under warranty.Installed a dedicated external 150w 12v AC adapter. Seemed to be back in business for a couple days. However, now the fan will only work reliably on full throttle. HOWEVER, if I turn it down say to 50%, it will power down, but will then gradually lose speed beyond that point to the point where it is nearly off. Turning it up again will sometimes cause the fan to VERY SLOWLY increase in speed until at full; other times, there is no change. Moving the knob back and forth does no help. If I completely power it down for a few seconds and then restore power, it will USUALLY slowly come back up to full speed.I have tested the fan directly to same transformer and also directly to a battery. Instant full power, no issues.STAY TF AWAY FROM THIS CONTROLLER

Solid controller, put it on a 'scope and had no ripple. After 30 minutes of operation the unit was still pretty cool to the touch. Only problem I had was that there are NO mounting holes. Not wanting to duck tape the thing to my motor bracket, I had to make brackets for it on my 3D printer. Otherwise I would have give it all 5's

If you are measuring voltage in and voltage out you will not see a difference as this does not adjust voltage, however it does adjust motor speed. Therefore it is perfect for the power wheels 18 volt battery swap I’m doing.

After 1 month it arrived. Wited it in, it didn't work. Took the cover off and it did not have a fuse (compared pictures off product page). With a new fuse it works but the knob does not adjust voltage and the motor runs as a constant speed.

The sender did not even bother writing my complete address soo i received a call in the morning from post office asking what my address is. After opening the product i soon realised the product was very rusty both outside and the internal components visable from the gaps in the device, Not to my suprise its broke and faulty. Very disappointed. What a shame i waited soo long to get this item.
