It is worth way more than sold for....love the rear ports where you can actually plugin a usb cable unlike many I tried...love the cards power connection, gives it an extra boost [well not really a boost more just a not a drain on the card].....really love the additional 2 connections for the front of my case [rack mount so space is precious]....no issues what so ever....win 8.1[we call it win 9] and win 10....absolutely perfect....as long as it lasts I am really happy....

It works, but keep in mind it will only do USB 3.x if it is installed in a PCI x4 or above slot. This is no problem for me yet since I'm using onboard gfx and wasn't using the only x16 slot that my motherboard has.More of a limitation of my machine because the motherboard only has 2 PCI slots (1 1x and 1 16x), but be aware before purchasing.

I purchased the version with 2x USB C ports and 5 horizontally aligned USB 3 ports as that is perfect for my use case. The card wasn't difficult to install BUT the horizontal USB ports are too wide for the opening in the rear of my chassis (Corsair Crystal 570X), resulting in the ports not being accessible as no USB device can be plugged into those ports. I live in South Africa, making it useless to even attempt to return it for a refund. So in order for me to use the card, I would have to modify the Corsair case, which will not happen. I can't recommend this product at all.

I installed this on a home-built tower that I use for video and music editing. Works just fine. Installed with no needed expertise on my part.

A few weeks ago, I had found an old USB expansion port with just 4 ports. I plugged it in my 18 month old Dell. I've got a lot of drives, as soon as I rebooted my PC I got an error, something about the USB Expansion not having enough power. So, I ordered the "PCI-E to USB Expansion Card Super Speed 7-Ports". It was easy to install and when I booted up, it read all the drives plugged into them. I ran some transfer tests and got adequate speeds. It's only been a few days since installing but I've rebooted a few times, I've transferred several files, and have not had a single issue. Would definitely recommend.Side note, I have not used either of the two USB C ports yet. My next external drive will probably be a USB C. If there's any issues I will update this review or create a new review if I'm unable to update this.

I bought this specifically for my Oculus Rift S VR system. It failed miserably.I then bought one at Best Buy with a power adapter, what do you know , worked without a problem. They advertise it can be used with VR. Not true. It also draws too much power from the motherboard, creating other issues with the computers hardware. This board needs to be re-engineered. It needs power from the power supply. God forbid you use all the ports at the same time! You will burn out your motherboard.

The price is right, the item works awesome. I had one issue when I first installed it with it not being seated right but I removed it and tried it again and it fired right up. I have Windows 10 so my computer automatically installed everything for it. The USB ports face the opposite way from the rest of my onboard ports but I don't really notice it. One of the USB ports was a little bit crooked but it was sturdy and the USB plugged in without issue and works just fine. I should have gotten a 2nd one just so I can have way too many USB ports that I won't ever need.
