SELF DRILLING PLASTIC DRYWALL ANCHORS
Can be installed without a drill.
Using a screwdriver—we do not recommend the use of a drill—you can screw these fasteners into drywall without pre-drilling. Watch out, though. If you have a heavily-painted wall, you want to “break” the surface first before screwing in the plastic anchor. Skip this step, and you might break off the tip.
- STEP 1: Select the right type of drywall anchor for your project.
- STEP 2: Use moderate pressure to twist a self-drilling wall anchor into drywall.
- STEP 3: Turn the drywall anchor in until the lip is flush with the wall.
- STEP 4: Attach your rack or shelf to the wall by screwing into the drywall anchor.

Overall I’m pleased. I took off one star since I had a couple of them break when installing. The reality is that at the price point it’s not a big deal, but is inconvenient. Otherwise, they work great after installing and I would buy them again.

Poor quality screws. Phillips screw heads poorly sized and strip easily/
