These anchors are super convenient compared to the standard ones that require you to drill a hole, hammer it in, and then screw in the screw. The self tapping anchors make hanging stuff very fast.I would hesitate to hang the 75 lbs that they are rated for but the 10-15 lbs things that I used them for worked great and feel solid.

**Review: #8 Self Drilling Drywall Anchors and Screws Kit**I recently had the pleasure of testing out the #8 Self Drilling Drywall Anchors and Screws Kit, and I must say, whoever designed this system truly deserves a round of applause. With 120 metal drywall anchors and 120 screws included, this kit makes hanging items on drywall not just simple, but downright enjoyable.**Ease of Use**One of the standout features of this product is its self-drilling capability. Unlike traditional anchors that often require pre-drilling holes, these anchors can be driven directly into the drywall, saving time and eliminating the need for additional tools. Whether you’re hanging picture frames, shelves, or even heavier items, the process is remarkably straightforward. I found that all I needed was a drill and a steady hand, and I was able to complete my projects in record time.**Strength and Stability**The 75LB weight rating on these anchors is impressive. During my testing, I hung various items, including a medium-sized shelf filled with books and a wall-mounted plant holder. I was pleasantly surprised by how well these anchors held up. They provide a sturdy grip, and I have no doubt they can handle even heavier items if used within their rating.**Versatility**This kit is not just for DIY enthusiasts; it’s an essential tool for any homeowner or even professionals who work with drywall regularly. The versatility of the anchors means they can be used in various settings, whether you’re hanging decor in your living room, organizing tools in your garage, or mounting equipment in a workshop.**Organization**Another notable aspect of the kit is the packaging. Each component is organized neatly, making it easy to find what you need when you’re in the middle of a project. The clear labeling of screws and anchors saves time and frustration, which is something any DIYer will appreciate.**Conclusion**In conclusion, the #8 Self Drilling Drywall Anchors and Screws Kit is a game-changer for anyone who frequently hangs items on drywall. It simplifies the process, saves time, and provides a reliable solution for various hanging needs. If you’re in the market for a drywall anchor kit, this is a must-have for both home and work environments. I can’t recommend it highly enough—get ready to make your wall-hanging projects a breeze!

This is a must have! Wow, why don't companies supply these instead of the flimsy plastic anchors that don't really grab onto the back of the drywall. That was my problem. The anchor that came with the coat hanger got loose and started pulling the coat hanger off the wall. The hole was quite big when I easily pulled the existing anchor out. I didnt test the self tapping aspect of it, I just wanted to reinforce the existing hole and it sure did. The anchor and the screw perfectly went in. I gave it a tug test and sure enough, peace of mind came to me. The threads are so tall, grabbing so much of the drywall.

I have used nylon versions of these and while those are affordable and some what easy to use, these are even easier to use! At times I need to pre-drill holes when I use the nylon ones just like the small hammer-in drywall anchors. With these you just need the phillips bit, set it where you want to sink it in and screw it in. The self-tapping design will make its own hole allowing it to sink into the drywall, while the twisted end will screw and tighten itself into drywall. Then without changing bits, grab an included screw and screw it to your desired depth. The best use of these anchors is in vertical drywall. They are not good for ceilings. They will work in ceilings but where they really shine is on vertical walls to hang a mirror or coat hooks. It is amazing how quick these work. When you are done you might even feel embarrassed that you waited as long as you did to hang stuff.
