Bought this as a hamburger grill rack for my broiler. It serves exactly that purpose and is very cute. Just make sure it's big enough for what you'll be using it for, it looked "small" to me when I opened the package -- though it's exactly the size advertised, it was just my own fallibility that I didn't realize quite what those dimenstions look like. However, it's nonetheless perfect size for me (4 burgers at a time).

Perfect for when I do candied orange peel. and if they don't drive fast enough I can leave them on the rack and pop them on the sheet pan and Papa and put them in the oven. The rack does tend to rust if I'm not careful but it was really good value for the money. I believe that I will actually buy a few more.

They fit my quarter (9" x 13") and half size (18" x 13") baking sheets very well -- minimal gaps on the edges. And nice separation above the pan or counter -- keeps the food away from grease and allows air to circulate. Performed well with glazed pork chops, Shake'N Bake chicken, home-made battered fish filets and breaded fish sticks, bacon, french fries and tater tots. I have also used them as cooling racks for homemade bread.I was not sure about the cross wire design but have found that the stability provided with little to no loss of grease drainage and aeration capability, particularly for heavier foods, admirable and worth any cleanup hassle.Wash by hand after each use and season them with oil!!! After learning the hard way with similar racks from kitchen stores that rusted when not cared for, being consistent about cleaning/seasoning will ensure a longer lasting product. Cleans up decently with some soaking and a little bit of scrubbing.

I purchased this rack at the same time I purchased a small sheet pan and a couple of other racks. I have decided to start using a toaster oven more regularly to avoid the costs involved with the larger oven as well as the associated heating of the kitchen. This rack was the perfect size to fit INSIDE a quarter sheet pan (9x13).... and that size fits my toaster oven perfectly.I have read some of the reviews and it seems like most of the lesser ratings on this item come from a "rusting" situation, or the title listing as a 9x13 rack. The description explains that the rack FITS INSIDE a 9x13 pan.... so it must, out of necessity, be a little smaller than 9x13 for that to happen. Right.??? The rusting thing I'm not too certain about. I've seen lots of small racks over the years and it seems like most of them have some sort of issue with rust... at least initially. If you keep them clean and spray a little oil on them before use, they will eventually become a lot simpler to maintain and resist rusting quite well. The oil seems to work its way into the rack and coats the metal in such a way that rusting becomes much less of a problem. My method is to wash them well (by hand or dishwasher..) then dry them quickly with a towel and place them back in a warm oven. This seems to drive out any remaining moisture..... No rust.!!Anyway, this crosswire rack fits my quarter sheet pans perfectly. It holds up well to oven heat and provides a nice surface to oven roast root vegetables as well as some cuts of meat. It is hard to definitely say that this rack is the best out there. It probably isn't. But it works. And for the price it's hard to beat. Recommended.

Cheaply made. I bought this to use as a dish drain for clean dishes in my small sink. It did the job except that it rusts if left wet. That won't work for drying wet dishes. Was cheap so I'm not too bummed but would have been nice. Guess I'll have to use it as a small cooling rack. I'm guessing this would work well for that, as long as it doesn't rust.

Actually more sturdy than I was expecting. For the price it's not bad at all. It's a bit smaller than I was expecting, I didn't measure it exactly but it looks like it was designed to go down INTO a 9x13 pan, not that it actually measures 9x13. I use it to drain fried foods and make bacon in the oven and it's perfect for that.

I looked forever for something I could use to heat/bake frozen french fries and breaded fish instead of aluminum foil, which was getting costly. This rack seems to be made solid and not light weight like a cooling rack would be. The grate goes in two different directions so it holds the food in place, allowing the heat to reach all of the food to cook evenly and letting the drippings fall through to whatever you place the rack on. I have it sitting on a 13.25x9.25 inch cookie sheet with a bit of room to spare. And cleaning is easy since it states that it can go into a dishwasher safely instead of having to always clean by hand.I purchased two of them right away. Seems like a lot of products come on the market, then disappear when you need a replacement. I've only owned this for a few months so I can't talk about it's life span but I don't ever want to be without one. I've never used it for broiling so I can't comment on how well it holds up to that but I think it would work just fine.

I got this rack after seeing Rachael Ray on more than one occasion say it was a great way to cook bacon. It does indeed cook up a nice, crisp bacon. I saw another review say they use it for cooking french fries and fish sticks and I can't wait to try that. My only complaint (and it's my own fault for being impaired at visualizing dimensions) is that it is a little small, I can only cook about six strips of bacon at a time. The pan is also discoloring after multiple uses, but that doesn't seem to be causing any functional problems. I see that they are available in larger sizes so I bet I'll be purchasing one in the near future!
