Another great product coming out of Germany. Already had the Abus disc lock that survive a storage break in. The cut the hoop and whala they were in.I decided to not use supplied hardware, which the screws for the hasp were only 1” long, so I used the Spax 1/4x5” hardened screws to secure to door jamb and 1/4x2-1/2” bolts for the door along with 1/4” fender washers, which are thicker than the plate supplied. This product will deter the common screwdriver thief.

I love ABUS, they manufacture very high quality security products. This heavy duty stainless steel hasp is another of their awesome hight quality products made in Germany. It's not a cheap product made in China.Pros :- Good sturdy design- Stainless steel- Galvanized screws- Fair price- Made in GermanyCons :- On the main part there is only one carriage bolt, the rest are small wood screws.- The included carriage bolts are not galvanized (so I'm gonna have to go to my hardware store and buy some).- Back plates are thin, I could ply on with my bare hands.- No instructions (I'm sure installing a high security hasp is not straight forward for everyone)- Very difficult to open heavy duty blister pack. (Arh! I hate those!)Even with those minor irritants I strongly recommend this product from ABUS.If you liked my review please click on the "HELPFUL" down below. Thank you!UPDATE : IF you're not planning on using this hasp with an ABUS Discus padlock DO NOT buy this one. Big padlocks with a closed shackle like the Master Lock 6327 or the ABUS 83CS/55 Rock don't work, the staple does't allow you to push and close the padlock. I have both of these padlocks and I've tried. I ended buying an ABUS 83WP/63. With smaller padlocks like an ABUS 83AL/45 or even a Master Lock 6125 there is a lot of play once the hasp is closed and it's super easy to put a crowbar behind the hasp. The only solution I've find is to use an ABUS 83WP/63. But the shackle is SUPER tight in the staple. You have to push hard so the padlock rest agains the door.If not using an ABUS Discus padlock I suggest you buy instead the ABUS 110/195 hasp. It works like a charm with big padlocks. I just installed one today with an ABUS 83WP/63 padlock.

Love this thing. I was very surprised that there were absolutely NO instructions included in the packaging of the 2 of these I purchased so I went to the manufactures web sight where there are no install instructions either. How can this be? Well, maybe I just couldn't find them. Anyway, most should be able to figure out how to install. I used the 2 plates on the other side of the wall (inside) and attached them with the long screws, washers and nuts. Access can be difficult to the back side to install the plates at times so consider this before install. You wull need to get back there with a socket to install the nuts and washers. Seems like this prevents people from prying the hasp off the wall by simply ripping out the screws. Some disc or puck style locks will not fit this as the clearance is tight. I am not using a Abus lock on either of my Abus hasps because $30 is way too much for a lock for me. I highly recommend this hasp as it is really well made. Best I have ever seen.

It was surprisingly difficult to find a decent stainless steel hasp for my shed. I found a small one locally but I actually broke off the eyelet one day trying to remove a frozen lock. I wish I would have found this hasp sooner. It looks great and should be very secure, especially when paired with a Diskus type lock. I happened to already have a which fits like it was made for this hasp. This was fairly easy to install even though there were no instructions in the package. The three square holes are for the three through-the-door carriage bolts. My doors are too thick to use the carriage bolts so I only used the six screws.I first put both parts together and held them up to the door where I wanted them to end up. I held the hardened steel staple/eyelet against the door with my thumb and carefully moved the hasp away. I marked the two round holes on the staple with a pencil then I drilled two pilot holes on these marks before fastening the staple to the door with two screws.Next, I attached a small piece of to the back of the hinge so that it would stay in place when I lined it up again on the mounted staple. I then marked the four circular holes on the hinge with a pencil and again drilled pilot holes. I needed to use the two provided spacer plates behind the hinge in order to get proper clearance when swinging the hasp open and closed. I'm curious to see how the clearance will be in the winter when everything contracts.

Easy to install and made of quality material. I'm using it for a shed that has bikes, kayaks and gardening tools stored inside. I also purchased the ABUS 24IB/70 all weather lock. I find it a great combo.

This Abus 140/120 4-3/4" Wide X 2" Deep padlock hasp is nicely made in Germany from good quality materials. The main strap and hinge are made of stainless steel and the padlock staple is made from a nice thick piece of hardened zinc coated steel. The two square back plates are made of zinc coated steel and the six wood screws included appear to be zinc coated and hardened. The three carriage type thru-bolts, washers and nuts included are all zinc coated steel. There were no actual installation instructions or mounting template included, but it seemed to be fairly easy to figure things out. I counterbored holes for the nuts and washers of the thru-bolts on the inside of my shed doors with a 1/2" Forstner bit and cut the bolts to length so they would be flush with the inner surface of the doors, then used needle nose pliers to tighten down the nuts. The package says it is designed for the Abus Diskus lock, but it works fine with the large Masterlock brand padlock with 7/16" shackle that I'm using it with.

This hasp is made in germany, and it seems very secure. The outer part is stainless steel. The inner hasp and other parts are not stainless but they seem fairly corrosion-resistant. It somes with 6 philips flat head screws and 3 long carriage bolts and small nuts/washers and 2 backup plates. I uploaded photos showing these parts. Abus rates this '8' on its security level which seems pretty high. The 140 is the Abus series number, and 120 is the length in MM.Dimensions:Stainless/hinged part: 120mm (4.725") x 56mm (2.205"), with rectangular cutout 21x34mm.Hardened "staple" part: Base: 1-7/8" x 1-5/8, with curved loop part about 1-3/16" x 3/4".The curved hole where lock shackle goes has hole about 13mm wide by 16mm deep(Abus says its 12.5mm hole diameter but I measured it at 13mm x 16mm).As I found out when reading a European version of the amazon review (w/photos), the outer part may tend to pull back from the haspunless you use a large diameter lock shackle, and this can tend to expose any screws that are security the hasp, leaving it vulnerable. The smooth-head carriage bolts somewhat alleviate that issue (I would have liked a few more of the long carriage screws), but it is something to consider. I wish they made this same hasp but with a slightly smaller size lock opening since I did not want to use it with the special 'diskus' lock. Otherwise I would have rated this 5 stars.PS: The hasp is not as 'tall' as it looks in the amazon photo (which looks like it's sitting on a mirror so it sort of looks 2x actual height!)
