IP54, Water Proof, Dust Proof
IP54 rating is protected against quantity of dust that could interfere with the normal operation of the product(but is not fully dust tight). It is also protected against water or liquid splashing from any angles.
Carbide-Tipped Anvil
The carbide-tipped anvil provides much longer tool life that the ones not coming with the feature. It is the part always used to touching the face of the other objects. The enhanced feature enables longer life. All Accusize outside micrometers come with the carbide-tipped measuring face
Locking Nut
This feature is convenient for user to keep track of a measurement and also to lock the spindle for small lot gauging, easy to Operate
Vernier Scale
The Vernier type sleeve scale provides more accurate measurements than the mic without the feature. Vernier scales measure in .0001”. (The main index scale on the sleeve measures in increments of only .025”)

I can't blame accusize because even Mitityo stuff their documents into the case where it's always sandwiched in. It's a pain and wish someone just makes a pocket inside for it to slide in.

Feels like nice quality but will not power on.Checked battery voltage and it reads 0.346 VDCNearly exhausted/dead battery delivered with brand new product.

This seems to be a tool that, for the price, is handy, accurate and well made. The action is pretty smooth and repeatability is good, though I doubt that I will use all (many) of the buttons. Only problem was a battery that was fully discharged on arrival. Amazon was kind enough to send compensation for the time and effort for me to replace the battery, so in the end, zero problems.

Well made and precise. Right out of the box it was bang-on when tested on flat feeler gauges. Always a good idea to practice with a known constant like a feeler gauge, to get the feel for the right speed to turn the ratchet knob. Very pleased with this micrometer.
