Got this small pepper mill specifically for black cumin seed. Unfortunately the gap at bottom of grinder allows the small seeds to fall out. The mill itself works well, easy to adjust coarseness. For me, it's too small for everyday salt and pepper. Maybe just for specialty varieties.

I love fresh ground pepper and was looking for a pepper mill to keep on the table that isn't too big. This one is perfect. You can even adjust the size of the pepper coming out of the mill. I like a coarse grind. This mill is clear, so it is easy to see when it needs a refill and feels solid when using it. I am extremely pleased.

I love the way this grinder looks a lot, and that I can see how much pepper is inside. It is easy to use and turn. It was also easy to fill just by unscrewing the top metal part.The directions say to adjust the grind, loosen or tighten the knob at the top. While it can be tightened and loosened, I find it doesn't really adjust the size of the pepper, or rather it does but you still get a mixed grind either way. It doesn't bother me because the mixed grind size works for me. I just find that the only difference in having it tight versus loose is the amount and ease that pepper comes out. When it's loose, more comes out easier, with both small and larger bits....if that makes sense.Overall it's a nice little grinder, but if you are looking for more exact pepper sizes, this might not be it. Could have been user error too! I didn't test this with salt, so can't speak to that.

This is a nice smaller grinder that would be perfect for the table. I have a larger one of similar design which I really like and has proved very durable and grinds well.This grinder feels a bit flimsy, although better once filed. Grind quality is ok so far. The main concern I have is the plastic part of the grinding mechanism that holds the ceramic grinders. It does seemm to be very good quality and I would expect this grinder to have a short life span because of this
