The lock itself is poorly constructed as the key does not insert into the lock easily or consistently. Had to drill it out to be able to remove this after a few uses. Horrible quality.

The lock jammed with the key in it and the key broke. Now I’ve got some lovely scratches on my trigger guard.

Installing this lock on a Stevens Model 67 Series E 12 ga. pump action shotgun as described in the package did NOT prevent the gun from firing with the lock in place. Simply pulling back on the lock fired the gun.However when I tried installing upside down or backwards (reverse from the described instruction) it DID prevent the gun from firing. Not sure how this would work on other guns.Instructions should be better and include alternate methods of installation.

Bought this trigger lock to meet the deadline in my area for home gun safety. It does the job for a reasonable price. It nicely fits an old Winchester 320 .22 caliber rifle.

This type of trigger guard doesn't work with triggers that are basically one solid piece. My Kimber Micro 9 has a solid trigger that this guard can not "get behind" to stop it from moving backward. Please see my diagram (Pardon the crudeness of the drawing). This MAY work for thin triggers that has space between the trigger and the hand grip, but not a solid trigger. Not sure if there are any trigger guards for solid type triggers.
