This is a nice simple hide and it gets the job done, it looks "fine" and the reptiles seem to like them. They are light weight- so if you are moving things around and you want to put the hide back in the cage and for instance the snake is in the way, you can put it on most snakes unless they're really small without thinking youll hurt them.

Needed a bigger hide for the red tail boa. She found it quickly and uses it. There were previous reviews about the sticker not coming off there is no issue with the sticker came right off no residue.

I got a bigger hide than need but honestly not mad about it I also love how the hide it thick doesn't seem like my snake will break it 😂 very nice! Will work well as a humid hide for my baby.
DONT EXPECT 2 HIDES

This hide is very “clean” looking! I love it and so does my snake. There’s not any rough edges so it’s completely safe for whatever reptile your using it for. The only reason I gave a 4 star instead of a 5 is because they advertised it like there was going to be 2 hides….I received it in the mail and expected 2 hides, but only got one of them. Amazon please make it clear that THERES ONLY ONE. I thought I was paying $13 for 2 hides, I could’ve gotten a rock hide instead of plastic.. which aggravates me bc my snake needed 2 of them and that’s what the picture showed, still nice but for the people ordering just keep in mind and know that there’s only one, not two

This is the perfect alternative to the more expensive hides that are out there especially if you're looking for a large hide. The larger hides that look like rocks are very expensive. This thing is super sturdy and just the right size for my bearded dragon. You can disguise it with plastic leaves and plants if you want it to look more natural.

I purchased two of the XXL's for our rescued 4#(1776g), 4' 2" Female BP. There's just enough room for her to hide her bulk without spilling out of the opening. I make a pit in the substrate within the hides and line the surface of the coco husk in the hides with moist moss. She loves it. I really like the option of using the surface of the hides so you're not losing floor space. She was moved into her (unfinished) 4x2x2' enclosure this afternoon. The hides fit very nicely, and don't make things cramped. But those darned stickers! They just don't come off! We used the rough side of a sponge and scrubbed with the hottest water we could tolerate. That elbow grease got the paper off, but not the industrial strength glue LOL. We used rubbing alcohol on the sticky residue but that just seamed to make it tackey. We washed that off and decided to rub moss into what's left of the glue to give it something to stick too, and to perhaps wear some of the glue off. We didn't want to use stronger chemicals, for obvious reasons. The moss seemed to do the trick though. Although not 100% gone. At least now my BP won't be harmed by the glue. Seriously though. The company *really* needs to come up with a better method... like, use similar labels similar to those used on the depressed surface of frying pans.
