I have a laminate hardwood floor in my basement office and I've been using a plastic chair mat for years. This carpet floor mat proved to be an excellent alternative.WHAT YOU GETThis carpet floor mat measures 3 ft x 4 ft and is offered in 5 different color options (I opted for beige). The mat is made of polyester with a tacky rubber underside. While it is advertised for use on hard surfaces and carpets, I believe its best use is for hard surface flooring.PERFORMANCEJust looking at the pictures, this mat looks like it is a carpet with really low piling. This mat is mad of polyester and only weighs a few pounds. The top looks like carpet from a distance and you really have to feel it to realize it's not actual carpet. The polyester has a degree of softness (adding to the carpet look), but its construction feels durable and offers a smooth gliding surface for my office chair. The entire underside is basically a rubber mat with a tacky quality that does an excellent job of keeping the mat in place.I've been using a plastic mat for years and it slides around all over the place ... even double-sided tape at the corners wouldn't keep it in place. The underside of this mat keeps it firmly in place and this is huge for me. Other pluses include the subtle floral design on the beige that meshes really well with my grey floor. Even though this is not an actual carpet, the carpet look adds a touch of warmth to the entire room.I love this mat. It is an excellent alternative to the plastic mats that show cracks, scuffs and slide around.

This rug is pretty beautiful and the pattern is nice. I love the colors. It makes a great chair mat. It is not very thick and on the thinner side. And great for under the desk or office chair.

I can't even tell you how beautiful this mat is. If I had known it existed, I would have bought it instantly, especially at this price. I had a plain gray chair mat that worked fine, but it made my home office look like ... an office. Now, the room feels so much more elegant, and what's more, this mat does a great job. Crucially, it stays put. Zero sliding, since the underside is pretty sticky. It's also easy to roll around on. And as a bonus, it feels nice on my bare feet.It arrived folded, but flattened out pretty quickly. The photos were taken right after I put it down. There was one crease that stayed slightly raised, but I put some books on it overnight and that did the trick. In terms of color, I could have SWORN there was a Navy option, but Amazon says I ordered "Green." If this is indeed the Green version, the background is more navy than green. In any case, I love the many colors of flowers, and the fact that the design is clearly printed while also looking like an aged Oriental rug.

We recently installed LVP and got this to protect our office floor. I have the single blade wheels which roll easily enough. I like the design of this a lot more than the standard plastic ones. It definitely looks cooler than a lot of other options out there and its a good size.

Bought this for a backup in my office as I love having rugs in there to stop my chair from sliding everywhere and this one does just that! For the size and price it’s worth it as it’s soft and not too thick. My chair is able to roll right over the rug without it moving which I love! I highly recommend this rug.

I love this chair mat. It is the perfect thickness for using my chair. It allows the chair to nicely glide over it. It isn't bulky. It stays in place nicely. The colors are vibrant. I would recommend this chair mat.

Nice cushy and colorful chair mat! Perfect size! It fit under the desk a bit, so I am always just rolling on the mat.
