I am very happy with this item. It comes in tightly rolled up. I assumed it would be difficult to flatten out at first, but it surprisingly was pretty much flat, except a slight curl at the very ends. They include some instructions on how to get the mat to flatten out, including putting it out in the sun, using a blow dryer, and some other things. That is a nice idea and helpful to know. One reason why the mat laid flat immediately is because of how flexible it is. It is a different material than the older mats were (that used the thick, heavy duty plastic material). This is a softer material, difficult to describe. Reminds me of a mix between rubber and gel, perhaps?It resists creasing (I tried on a corner). The mat is also pretty lightweight for the size. If you decide to store it for some reason, it is easy to roll it up tightly. It isn’t slick when walking on it with socks. Spraying it with water and wiping it clean is very easy too. The only con is I believe it will get scratched up easily over time. It managed to scratch a corner a little and couldn’t rub it out.I rolled mine back up to store until the room it is going in is ready. I plan to put it over some new vinyl plank flooring in a room that houses my bird’s. Since the room gets messy quickly, I will be constantly be spraying and wiping it down, or mopping it. I also am good at spilling their water on the floor. Since too much water can damage those types of floors over time (it seeps in the little crevices between the panels, and causes the planks to swell upwards), this mat can help protect the main parts of the floors. I plan to get more than one.I think it is definitely a great choice for a clear floor mat, because the material is so flexible and thus the mat sits perfectly flat. You won’t trip over it and it is easy to work with. It is easy to clean too.

This is a pretty simple item. You roll it out wherever you decide to place your desk chair, and it covers the floor beneath it. It seems to be successful as protection for the floor beneath the desk chair. I was never quite able to get the mat to lay flat like it does in the product picture, which led me to believe it was a very different type of mat. It's ok, but not great. I will leave it to protect the floor for as long as it will last (which seems like it will be for a long time).

This protective mat was great for my use case. I have a large executive desk on a LVP floor. The mat stays in place for my general use throughout the day. The color (clear) has not had any yellowing nor does the material scratch easily. The mat adheres to the floor with no movement, but keep in mind two legs of my desk are also on top of the mat to ensure no movement.Overall, the product is transparent and fades in to the background as it should. I don't notice it is there, which is ideal. The mat protects the LVP floor from scratches and remains flat without creating a tripping hazard, a fatal flaw with other mats I have used in the past. I would purchase this product without hesitation if you have wood or LVP flooring.This mat would not be great for those with carpet or a rug, as it has no grip for those surfaces.
