The globe is perfect, however I had to return it for a globe that's larger (12").Unfortunately, this company does not offer this same globe in a twelve-inch size.

I read the measurements, but should have opened a measuring tape. It is not the size of the one from school, so expect it to be on the small side, but not tiny either. Looks amazing though and turned out to be a perfect fit for our small under the TV stand we have.

This is a gift that won't get re-gifted. It's very special. I'm a former history teacher and I know many colleagues and history buffs who would love this.The antique look reminds me of old movies where the protagonist always had one next to the bust of someone important. Perfect for me as my shower curtain is a modern map of the world.
