My 6 month old Shih Tzu is unruly. He barks at the box. This has not decreased his barking.

as soon as I turned it on my german shepherd came running over to me and went between my legs as she always does when she is scared.So I put it on the lowest level and I went outside and rang the door bell and I heard her give out one bark and then nothing. I believe she heard the sonic sound. I will keep testing this.some comments said it does go off (red light) on different sounds that are near the device, this is true. So each time you see the red light this indicates the sonic sound is going out. I am not sure if this will be a good trainning tool. I will watch and see. I recommend you start off with the lowest level.
