Purchased this deflector, despite some of the review, saying it did not fit, was flimsy, or could not close the hood after installation. I did not find any of this to be true. However, I did find the quality to be great. As you can see in the photos, the mounting tabs on the underside are molded to the shape of the hood, which is a definite plus. installation was actually a snap, and the included self tapping screws with spacers was an unexpected bonus. I was concerned the sticky tape would not be enough to secure it. However, once the screws and spacers were installed in the designated holes, the unit was very secure. Love the look too! Follow the installation instructions to the tee, make sure the mounting tabs fit into place as they are molded, and you’ll love yours too.

Could not get the hood to fully close with shield installed. Even after adjusting the hood stops to the lowest setting. Would not recommend for 2022 Grand Cherokee L.

Looks great BUT (( before attaching )) make sure you pull the bug shield to the very end of the hood( away from the windshield ) so it’s totally flush underneath the hood. You’re welcome! 😉 Unfortunately I found that out the hard way. 🥹 Other than that -looks and fits great!

First off it looks very nice on my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee but you will need a second person to help you install it. You must get it in the right place on the first try or the tape will not hold. Second You will need to drill some small pilot holes for the screws once you have it in place. The screws are not self Tapping as described unless you're going through aluminum foil and you will need to install the screws. I found all this out the hard way because I tried to do it myself And I could not get the passenger side in the right position by myself So I had to restick the tape 2 or 3 times and I thought it held, but when I got on the interstate, the passenger side came loose and was vibrating seriously under the hood.. Before I pulled the backing off of the tape I held the shield in place and used a marker to draw lines for position and then measured distance from the edge of the hood to the lines for alignment. You will need to use a drill bill smaller than the screw size so they hold. ALSO A NOTE TO THE MANUFACTURER--YOU NEED TO INCLUDE ABOUT 3 EXTRA FEET OF THE 3M TAPE IN CASE IT'S NEEDED AND ALSO BECAUSE YOU DON'T FULLY COVER THE SHIELD WITH IT WHERE IT ATTACHES.

Looks nice once it is installed on the vehicle, but I had to remove it and adjust it 4 or 5 times just to get the hood to close. The instructions as far as locating the item on the vehicle are vague. I expected more out of AVS. I have used their products in the past. This item installation was challenging.

Really work not only with the bugs….with the small stone, improve the aerodynamic of car and not more damage in the hood!! Really good quality and easy installation!
