This dual-sided fly box is great quality at a great price. I love the smaller size (3.25x4.25x1.5 inches), which is great for a single day outing and fits in pockets easier than bigger and/or thicker boxes. This one's a home run for me!

This is an excellent budget friendly fly box. I prefer foam boxes over silicone and this holds flies really tight. I have loaded in steamers as well as midgets and it holds tight no matter the fly size. I have had some rain and splashes on mine and it keeps that level of water out, I haven't had it submerged to tell if it is fully waterproof.

Pretty nice flybox for $10. Could potentially hold a couple of hundred small flies. Foam inserts work pretty well, though I prefer the silicon inserts for longevity and better holding of flies when/if the box gets dropped. I have tried inserting flies both directions in this type of foam inserts and generally just push the bend of the hook into the slot which usually can leave the point of the hook in the opening.Looks to be a pretty good silicon seal and requires a good amount of pressure to lock down the cover. At my age and in the waters I fish, I generally try to stay in water well below my waist and find wading pants far more comfortable and easy to deal with anyway. I also use a wading staff, so hopefully I'll never test the seal...The covers are super clear and easy to see inside the box prior to unlatching. The 6" x 4" is a great size for most vest or bag pockets and the light green color is easy to spot even in a dark pocket.I don't have any complaints with the box and the price is reasonable, so 5 stars it is in my opinion.

I have ordered several different products from Aventik and, almost without exception, they have all been an excellent value for the money. This Aventik fly box follows in the same vein. I have been needing to replace my old folding fly box for some time. As you can see in the photos, the old box does not have clear panels, it is not waterproof, and the flies on each side rest against one another when the box is closed. The Aventik has about the same number of square inches of storage space, however, there are far more slots to accommodate different sized flies, and the domed lids eliminate the problem of the flies resting on top of one another. The clear plastic of the lids make for an easy reference of what I have on hand and what I might want to try next. The snap closures are simple and secure and the gasket ensures the flies will all stay dry when (not if) I accidently drop the box in the water. The $10 price point is just right for this product and counter to the idea that all gear associated with fly fishing is ridiculously expensive! Five stars, baby!

After my last set of fly fishing boxes failed the water proof test on the river, I ordered this Aventik Fly Fishing Box based off it being advertised as being water proof.First, I do like the size of the fly box and it being double sided for more fly storage. It was very easy to insert my flies in the foam slots and it holds them in place well.I did conduct a quick test to see if this was indeed water proof. It is not! After about 30 minutes of being submerged in just 6 inches of water, water was able to penetrate the fly box. Because of this, I gave it a three star rating because I can still use it to hold flies. This fly box will not go with me when I wade the river. If you want a fly box but don't care if your non used flies get wet, then the price of $9.99 is worth it.For me, I will be spending more money for a more reliable fly box that keep my flies dry!
