For the price, item is adequate. I used their chart and sized up based on their recommendation. The slippers are a little baggy, I probably should have ordered the size 8 instead of the 8.5, but they will suffice. As I am new to ballet, and not wanting to spend much to get started, the shoes are the essential tool. The cost is minimal for learning the basics of ballet, without guilting me to continue if I decide to stop.

I recommend sizing up by one. The elastic is comfortable the ballet flats have good support inside the shoes for ballet barre.

I've never had a tan pair as a recreational dancer, and I definitely appreciate how these match enough to create a streamlined effect. I love split soles for impproving the look of my arch, and was appreciative to not have to sew the elastics myself (I'm not that picky).I think the padding in the ball of the foot might create a little offset in releve/demi-pointe because it's a bit rounded, and not like a flat cushion. So that may be of some discomfort on hard floors, maybe a little less so on sprung. But I noticed on the kitchen floor that it added a slight bit of challenge to my balance that wasn't there before, and it eventually flattened out a bit.
