Bought this for my 140 gallon Cold plunge tub. This will cool it down to 38-40 degrees easily depending on what your climate is. I fill my tub to 120 gallons and it consistently stays at 44 degrees. Runs strong and great for any cold plunge tub!

It’s a no nonsense product. Connect it, turn on and it just works.Put a hose on the inlet and outlet. Small pump(came with) to circulate water through the chiller. Does not matter which way. I have it set to 70, my temperature probe is a constant 67.

We bought this instead of a branded cold plunge chiller -- it's exactly the same machine at half the price. We insulated all the tubes and it sits outside, in a shaded area, in the hot hot south. Temperature is always accurate, and it gets the Ice Pod Pro tub cold to 55 in about 6 hours. It stopped cooling effectively after three months but the awesome customer service team replaced it. Now I’m back in the cold plunge and it’s working great!

It was relatively easy to install after searching several sources for how to videos. Paperwork that was included was useless. Bought the chiller in January 2022 (didn't install until March 2022) and it all the sudden stopped working this week (May 6, 2024). It seems like there is something wrong with the switch on the back. I am thinking something came loose or it simply needs replacing since you can hold switch and it turns on but when you let go, it turns off. I can't seem to find any information or contact information about the company to get a replacement part. They say these last 10 years... not so much.

I purchased this item August 28, 2022 and paid $538 for it. Ran great for the first 1 1/4 yrs. The beginning of this year the compressor started banging when it shut off. Would scare the heck out of us because it was unexpected. Now, the chiller turns off and on frequently and keeps reading 71*, as well as bangs on shutdown. The tank appears to be the correct temperature, but for fear of the compressor biting the dust, I need to purchase another one. When you put so much money into a set up, you would expect it to last longer. I am very disappointed that this product does not last long.

7 months in. This is a great product for an axolotl. I tried fans like others recommended and there is no way fans could keep the temp of my tank correct plus they were loud. You can set the temp below that shown on the listing. I keep my tank 61 on one side and 64 on the other side. The tank is a 60gal. It could go much lower or if I ever decide to get a larger tank it would be no problem, plus very quiet. Very pleased so far.

I have a very large fresh water aquarium and I needed a cooler/chiller for a 100/125 gallon tank. This chiller was rated for only 75 gallons, but it worked just fine for me! Weather gets around 84 degrees where I live and this chiller kept my water around 76 degrees very easily. My only gripe is that this is a made in China product, so I don't know if it will last very long. Anyways, I very much recommend it for anyone using a 50-125 gallon tank. And I would get the 1/4 over the 1/2 ho which is a very useless product. Looking at power ratings it's like a 5-10% difference over the 1/4 hp. So get either 1/4 or a 1 HP if you need more power.

Bought for our 55 gal Axolotl tank, so far it works great and it came next day delivery. My Axolotl is so happy and so is this mama as I no longer have to deal with fans and frozen water bottled.

Firstly - So thankful for the payment plan Amazon offers! As I’m sure many axi owners do, I researched for weeks about the appropriate size chiller I’d need. I ended up selecting the 75 gallon capacity model (as I know eventually I will be upgrading). I was really happy to find a unit that came with everything I needed - pump, hose and hardware. The chiller arrived in 3 business days and was perfectly packaged.Install was easy and the setting of temps was easy to figure out. HUGE shout out to the reviewer Ashly for her step by step instructions. Admittedly, if I’d have had to do it on my own using just the manual, I’d have given up.I currently have it running on a 20 long while I wait for my 55 to finish cycling. I’m excited to finally move it over but for now, I’m just so happy to keep the boys at a consistent temperature, especially as we move into colder months and I tend to keep my house very warm. I had tried fans and was never able to keep their temps under 65f. Even the ambient temp of my cold water was 66f after water changes, so in probably 15 minutes I achieved and maintained 62f without issue. If you have axolotl, you know they hate a strong water current, so in this smaller tank I have had to use a filter sponge on the output hose, clipped on with a chip clip. I’ve had a few mishaps with blowing sand everywhere and the sponge creating a waterfall out the back of my tank so that’s my only tip. I recently discovered the pump had a flow adjustment and that’s also really helped!Lastly, the unit is very quiet. When it kicks on, it’s slightly quieter than a mini fridge or a water cooler.

I've only had this for about a week but so far it has done it's job and I will update after a few months use. Using this with a 50 gallon reef tank with a 15-20 gallon sump so maybe 70 gallons total.I bought this because my tank almost had a full crash when water temps reached 85°. It gets hot here in Texas and having the AC on low all day when I'm not home is just not cost effective. This chiller should pay for itself within a few months if I add up how much it would cost to run the AC.Optimal temp for my tank is 78°. With this unit you can set a temp range so that it cools to a certain temp and then will shut off until the temp reaches a tolerance that you set. I have a two degree tolerance set so I've set the thermostat to 77° (converting from celsius). This means it will run until the tank temp reaches 77° and shut off and then as the water begins to warm it will come back on at 79° and cool to 77°. This way the unit is not constantly running. The two holes at the top of the unit are interchangeable in that either one can be used for inlet and outlet. The unit itself does not have an internal pump so they provide you with an external one to circulate the water. I have the pump in the drain compartment of my sump and the outlet hose in the return compartment. This seems to be enough separation so that it's not cooling water that's already cool. You get enough 1/2" hose to run two 5' runs and two hose clamps.Make sure you leave plenty of empty space around the unit to provide good air circulation. The air coming out of the back is quite warm as it is the heat being pulled from the water. Cool air comes in through the sides. Also don't forget to calibrate the thermostat per the instructions by using a reliable thermometer to measure your tank water and adjusting the unit accordingly. Mine was off by about 2° but was really corrected.
