It was nice to find this heater that is also white to help it blend into the background. The heater does a great job holding temperature. And the sleek ceramic element does not take up much space. The cord is even flexible enough so I could position it where I wanted in the tank and the suction cups hold it in place.

I ordered this heater for my Betta tank that needs to be kept around 78 degrees. The lowest temperature on this unit is set at 78 degrees. After leaving it in the 1.5 gallon tank overnight, the tank temperature only measured 74 degrees, checked with 2 instant read thermometers. I boosted the heater to the next level, 82 degrees, and the temperature remained at 74 degrees. I boosted to the next level, 86 degrees, and was able to get the water up to 76 degrees. It is a nice size for a small tank, however I recommend temperature testing prior to adding fish to your tank as the thermostat on this unit was off.

This little aquarium heater definitely stands out from all the other ones I own. Very aesthetically pleading and looks great in my tank. It also comes with the kind of suction cups that fit like a silicone ring around the heater so you don't have to worry about the heater becoming detached from them. So much better than the suction cups that clip onto the heater. I let the heater sit in my tank for 3 hours to give it a chance to do its thing and then I checked the temp. I got an accurate reading. So I'm really happy with this heater so far and highly recommend it.

This heater is perfect for my smallest nano tank! I tried it in my 5 gallon (out of spec, I know) and it's currently in a 2 gallon. This thing is a solid metal tube only ~4 inches in length. The only seam on it is at the very top (or side if you install this horizontally) where the power cable protrudes from. I really do prefer these designs over the more complex ones I've seen with plastic casings and whatnot that baby snails/fish/shrimp can get stuck in.In terms of power, this 25W heater wasn't quite able to maintain temp in my 5 gallon and was basically sitting on 24/7 trying its best. While it's doing just fine with the 2 gallon.I'm not a fan of the controller on this however. Unlike nicer heaters, there's no individual temp control or temperature readout on the body or the controller. So you'll be manually checking temps or buying a separate thermometer for monitoring purposes. As for actual temp settings, only the lowest setting is appropriate for my tanks (78° F) so I'm not able to review how it does on the higher settings.Also not a fan of the color. I think it'd be fine if you use a white/frosted backing on your tank but all of mine use black/tinted backings and the brushed metal + white color combo really stands out here. You'll need to get creative in hiding this thing with other decorations or plants if you hate the look of visible aquarium equipment like me.

This is a very sleek and well designed aquarium heater. Wanted to get a smaller one for a little Betta fish tank I got. This one fits the bill. If you looking for a small functional water heater for your fish here you go. Temperature control is on the outside.Only downside is that you can not choose your exact temperature. You have to select one of presets

I'm starting a shrimp breeding stations in a shallow clear tub. As there are only a few inches of water, I was looking for a low profile heater to use and I came across this. It's dead simple. Use the on-line controller to select your optimal temp and you are good to go. The supplied suction mounts work very well and do a nice job of holding the heater in place. You can use it in as little as 3cm of water or slightly more than 1". Great for paludarium.

I’m using this in my betta tank and it keeps the water the perfect temp for my little guy. Nice size, easy to use too.
