Feels like this is a quality product and if I don’t loose the part that screws it into the ground, it’ll last forever. Would be nice if there was a way to attach this piece for easy stowaway.

This is a heavy duty adjustable umbrella anchor and it worked great on our recent trip to the beach. There are screws to adjust to different size umbrella poles / rods. The metal bar is to assist in screwing it into the sand. This is a very well-made product and I have no doubt that it would work way better then those plastic cheap anchors. I would definitely recommend this umbrella anchor.

My beach umbrella came with a plastic sand anchor/auger, and the plastic rather predictably broke on the second use. This sand anchor is much better, made of metal (appears to be aluminum) and includes a metal bar that can be used to assist in screwing the anchor into even tightly-compacted beach sand. It includes neck adjustment bolts so that it can be adapted to accommodate various sizes of umbrella poles. The anchors are painted white and I can see no reason why these anchors should not hold up for years of occasional use at the beach.
