Step 1
Loosen and remove the clamping screw. Ensure you do not misplace the nut fastener that secures the tightens the screw.
Step 2
Apply one or more of the removable rubber liners around the post, depending on the frame post diameter.
Step 3
Fit the bracket around the post.
Step 4
Tighten the clamping screw. Ensure you connect the nut fastener to the end of the screw after passing the screw through the mounting bracket.

Needed another lock and this has been able to do what I needed. Due to the size of the frame, I'm unable to use the bracket, but wrapping it around the frame has worked for me.Nothing fancy, but not made cheap. With all items it will not stop someone that is very willing to get it, but this slow them down, with possibly being seen doing it.Most times we stop they are in front of cameras also.

This bike cable lock is effective and comes with two keys for added security. It includes a convenient attachment for your bike, allowing you to carry the lock when it’s not in use. I appreciate the button mechanism that reveals the lock for easy access. While the lock feels shorter than the advertised 4 feet—likely due to its tendency to curl—its thickness may not deter bolt cutters as well as thicker options. The plastic coating helps protect against rust.

I used this device to secure my e-bike at an annual air show I attend. I felt the cable was doing what it was intended to do, secure my belongings and to deter theft. The fact the cable wants to curl makes it a little more difficult to deal with when securing an item. However the curl makes storing the cable easier to store in a pouch. Had I to purchase again however, I might opt to get the straight cable instead. The cable is well built and strong I prefer the key over the combination lock and so well pleased with the choice to purchase this cable lock!

so I got this for my brand-new e-bike. the quality is really good. I like that it comes with 2 keys so one can go on a ring to use and one went in the safe for emergencies. my problem with it comes with storage. it comes with the standard clamp-on attachment, but the post on my e-bike was too fat. AKA, e-bike posts are NOT standard bike posts. I ended up using some heavy-duty wire to attach it. everything was fine. ...and then the lock just randomly came out of the attachment while I was riding. no, the wire didn't give. no, the attachment didn't move. the lock just fell out. so I guess my advice would be if you want this lock, be prepared to store it somewhere other than the attachment it comes with.

I purchased a bike cover for my sister, so she could keep her and her husband's bike out of the sun and rain while they camped. Unfortunately, the lock that came with the cover was way too short to accommodate both bikes at once, so I ordered this cable lock set. This is very nice quality with a beefy lock and thick cable that it covered in thick blue plastic. Someone is going to have to bring cable cutters in order to get through the thick twisted metal of the cable. The lock is really nice as well and I love that it has a little slider door to get to the area where you put the key in. This keeps the lock from getting rusted in the rain. It comes with 2 keys, so in the event that you lose one, you still have another one to use. It also comes with a lock holder that you can install on one of the bikes, but you honestly don't need it. You can just wind the lock up under the seat and keep it there until it's needed. The cable is 5 ft. long, which is plenty long to put through two front or rear tires of two bikes. I understand if someone really wants to steal the bikes, they'll be able to with the right tools, but this is a good lock to use to at least deter someone from trying.
