I recently picked up a new laptop, and while it's a fairly large one, it did not come with a built in numberpad. I had one laying around, but it was bulky and wired and just doesn't feel right. So I gave this one a go. I loved it so much I picked up a second for my home computer as well. The bluetooth is easy enough to set up, there is little to no delay in key registrations, is completely portable, and rechargeable.

By real I mean it has the up, down, tab, etc. Keys which is a must when working in spreadsheets. The convenience is key (pun intended). So far, I have had zero issues. My 14 inch laptop recognize the pad immediately. It is the perfect size, I love the color, it is thin thus not bulky during transport and storage in my laptop bag. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

A previous reviewer left very detailed instructions for getting the number pad to connect to your device, definitely follow those instructions. I tried the instructions included with the number pad and I couldn't get it to connect to my laptop.Once it connect to my laptop, it worked great. I use it in the field when I have to enter a lot of data in spreadsheets. It is much easier to use the number pad than my laptop keyboard. The number pad charges pretty quickly and it holds a charge for a long time. I've had it for two months and I've charged it three times, I use it 2-3 times per week.I'm satisfied with the number pad, I just wish the included instructions were correct.

The enclosure and the keys are a bit hard to strike. I've been using a ThinkPad for home and got another ThinkPad with much softer keys on the notebooks but having this on the side and its 10-key presses are not as ideal, side by side with keystrokes on the ThinkPad keyboards.

I tried numerous times and numerous ways. I cannot get it to connect to the laptop.

This little number pad is really handy when I'm working from home and need to do number-heavy data work. The problem is that sometimes the zero key won't register when you press it. It seems to miss around 1 time every 20 presses (very nonscientific estimate). I'm not quite sure if it's a bit of lag (seems to happen with both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth) or if it's a matter of me not striking the key properly when I'm quickly typing numbers.Either way, I can't be confident that the number will type every time I hit it, which is a bummer.

PROS:- More keys than typical numeric keypad- Slim and very lightweight- USB-C rechargeableCONS:- No storage for 2.4 GHz USB dongle- May shift on hard surfaces under intense use- Pairing instructions are incorrectIn attempting to follow the included instructions (see image), I had no luck getting the keypad to appear for pairing. I noted that next to the power button on the rear of the keypad there was another button that did not appear to be referenced. That turned out to be the key.TO PAIR: Press the "fn" key and the desired Bluetooth device key ("BT1" or "BT2"). Then press and hold the pairing button on the rear of the keypad until the blue LED flashes. The keypad should then appear on in the pairing dialog of your operating system. For my Mac, it appeared only as "BT 3.0 Keyboard". For my Windows 11 PC, it appeared as both that and "BT 5.2 Keyboard", and I selected the latter. This keypad is very slim, and will take up very little space when carried while traveling. It is also very lightweight, which can be both a positive (little weight to carry), but also can make it more likely to move during use. The keypad has 4 small domed rubber feet for hard surfaces, and a textured underside plate for soft surfaces. While these are adequate for casual use, someone that knows 10 key by touch could find the keypad moving slightly when their fingers start flying. The unit has a red LED that is lit when plugged in via USB-C and charging. The LED shuts off to indicate charging is complete. It should be noted that the "clear" key works as a backspace key, even in the standard calculator apps on both Mac and Windows, rather than clearing the complete entry as the on screen "clear" key in both apps does. One oddity I noticed when reviewing the product listing is one of the images there makes reference to a screen capture key, but no such key is shown on the keypad (even in the view of the keypad in that same image). There is no storage in the unit for the 2.4 GHz USB dongle, but given the slim form factor of the keypad, that simply would not be practical. If one doesn't normally have the USB dongle plugged into their notebook but wishes to have it on hand, they'll need to provide their own means of storing it without losing track of it.If Amazon allowed half star ratings, this would get a half star deduction for the incorrect pairing instructions and the mention of a minor feature (the screen capture key) that is missing. I do not feel either of those warrant a full star deduction, however.
