I use this to glue stabilized wood for knife handle work. I like that it sets reasonably fast. Just a little longer than the 5 minute, which gives me time to really make sure everything is set perfectly, but the strength is many times greater. I have knocked off many handles that use 5 minute epoxy. Often I crack the bond with a mallet alone. Sometimes I have to use a bit of heat. Now this 15 minute epoxy holds strong. I dang near have to destroy a handle to remove it. It takes lots of high heat for a good period of time. I have also used the 30 minute and found it to not provide any additional strength, only a longer set time, which I honestly don't need, so this 15 minute is truly perfect.

Epoxies are not all the same. My hobby is working on clubs and I have built new clubs and replaced shafts on hundreds of clubs. Several years ago, I noticed that original manufacturers were using "softer" epoxies which allowed their heads to be removed with less heat. I searched for quite some time before I found the Bob Smith line of epoxies. I use both the 15 and 30 minute cures, the 15 being the most flexible when cured and makes for the easiest removal of the head if you want to change the shaft. You do not need to use the strongest epoxy on golf clubs. The Bob Smith 15 minute cure has never failed me and if I want to later remove the shaft, it requires only a modest amount of heat. The less heat used, the lower the chance of damaging the paint on the head or discoloring the metal.

Really good epoxy that has strong bond and convenient method of storing and dispensing product. I will be using this stuff as my go to for hobbies, crafts, and repairs.

My father thought the answer to life's breaks was a slathering of epoxy to whatever ails you. Messy, leaking tubes which never resealed with only seconds to work once you mixed the components into a mucus-like goo. Like father, like son? Not with this stuff!Packaged in easy to use bottles (no tubes!) with an open time which is actually accurate (go get that beer. You have time.) I actually go out of my way to find things to repair with my mucus-like goo (some things in life must remain unchanged). Bob Smith Industries has brought sanity to the world of epoxy. No mess. Easy to use/store. It works. I like it. Won't use anything else.

product arrived in reasonable time, easy cleanup, and seems to give youthe 15 minutes of working time as promised, and not a minute more, butthe epoxy is very brittle when cured, not recommended for repairs that haveto be trimmed, filed, drilled, or cut in anyway, it chips out, in large pieces, italso leaves you wondering , just how good of a bond there is, since it chipsoff of surface completely, my application was on unfinished, clean, oil freewood, so choose carefully

Good quality epoxy and I love the seperate bottles, so much better than the combinded despensers.I would give it 5 stars but the replaceable caps dont stay on very well. I had to unscrew the cap and put plastic wrap under then to get them to close well. They work similar to a caulk tube were you have to snip the end and the replaceable cap doesnt seal too well so mine ended up spiling when it fell over.

I got this following an instructable on building a little stirling engine. The epoxy is used as a piston, cast in a copper pipe. Worked great for that, and everything else I've used it for.

This is a really great epoxy for general purpose use. It cures reasonably fast, hardens very clear, and is quite strong. The extra setting time (verses the 5 minute version) allows time for air bubbles formed from mixing to come out of the epoxy before it sets up and allows some additional time when you are doing a more complicated joint or gluing job.Be sure to mix thoroughly, but avoid stirring so vigorously that you introduce a lot of air into the mix. I stir for about 60 seconds and then let it sit for about that long to let the biggest air bubbles pop before I spread the epoxy. My concern about the air bubbles is because I have been gluing clear plastic (acrylic & polycarbonate) and since it is clear I didn't want bubbles to show. This epoxy works very well for this - I slightly roughen the surface to be bonded with fine sandpaper to help ensure a good bond.I really love the packaging. It is much neater and less wasteful than the tubes or syringes that most other epoxies come in. You can mix as much or as little at a time as you need. That saves money and aggravation. The 5 minute version is great too when you need an epoxy that sets up more quickly.
