This is a wonderful gift for anyone with a thing for bonsai trees, or really any small houseplants! Every possible digging, cutting, etc. tool is included, in a small size perfect for indoor plants and/or smaller hands! They’ve even included my favorite potting accessory—the planting mat, with snap-up sides to contain the inevitable spilled potting medium. All of the tools are presented in a zippered folio for storage, so everything’s there when you need it. I find gardening tools too big for most houseplants; these are perfect for indoor transplanting. Oh, and bonsai maintenance, too!

I received everything listed in the product's photos. I really wanted the shears/cutters to prune and trim up my MJ plants. The shears/cutters are sharp and are worth it. They fit nicely in my hands meaning they weren't too small nor to big, but that's me. The mat was a nice addition because I lost my other one and the mat made trimming simple. I was able to sit on my bed and use the mat. I haven't used the wires yet but everything else has been great to use. Even the tweezers have their use. I don't need to use my fingers to try to add seeds to the soil anymore. Great set.

For the price, I hadn't expected these bonsai tools to be satisfactory, but what a wonderful surprise it's been to find that every single little implement seems to have been individually crafted to compete with any others on the market. I cannot say more because it would just be raving about how much attention must have been employed to make them. The blades are especially sharp, so take care with them.When I've used them longer -- no plants need attention right now -- if I find anything different than what I've said here, I'll be back to amend this review, probably not before spring.

This is my go to kit and probably the last kit I will ever need for gardening. Everything is here for trimming and cutting, modifying and tapering. It's a beautiful kit that's been well crafted, designed, and put together with intention and attention. Though it's for bonsais, I find it doing really well in my garden. I have a bush and this kit has the items needed to make sure it doesn't get unwieldy and out of control. The carrying case keeps everything neat and tidy with a slot for everything so if you remove something, it has a home to go back to. Love the colors as well, makes it easy to identify for safety reasons. This is a really great kit.
