If you want to hang a picture and have the frame be flat against the wall and be perfectly level, this is what you need. A router table is helpful in getting two keyhole cuts identical and, therefore, the frame perfectly level.

The shortness didn’t effect performance, however I did use the router bit in a milling machine. I expect it would be just fine in a router as well (I will use it in my router most of the time). I have my router setup to do another job I’m working on hence the use in my mill.

Have used the keyhole bit on about 10 cuts and so far it is work good I’m happy with the sharpness of the bit and the cutting

I create a lot of wood wall hanging art and this Keyhole bit works great and is the perfect size for the standard drywall screwheads. For a couple quick jobs, I was even able to forgo the router and make the cuts on my drill press.
