I bought this router hoping I could rely on Bosch tools for quality and reliability. Unfortunately I had to send it in for warrantee work after using it for a couple small projects. The unit would begin to start and then a second after pulling the trigger it would stop. Nothing worked until I unplugged the unit and then it would just repeat the same behavior. Good thing I have my 40 year old Craftsman router as a backup!I can only give a tool that prematurely broke one star. I'm in the process of sending it in for warrantee work (purchased it 8 months ago) so we shall see how long it lasts after I get it back.

Can’t be used with router lift because you have to remove the handles in order to secure it in the lift and the handles contain the on/off switch!!!

I love this router, I use half inch shank bits and this router has no problem with the larger sizes even in hardwood.I would recommend it to all professional carpenters.

El encendido en el mango es bueno pero también tiene su inconveniente si quiere usar el router sin la base fija

I like the two LED lights in the base that illuminate my work. The trigger in the handle makes it safer to use. Adjusting depth of cut is accurate with the knob on the side. If you mount it in a Bosch router table, you can adjust the height of the bit with the included Allen wrench so you don't need a router table with a lift mechanism. The motor speed is electronically controlled and remains constant at any of the six selectable speeds. But there is a delay when you press the trigger. Comes with 1/2" and 1/4" collets. Great for hand routing, but weighs 10 pounds.

Powerful, simple in use and well balanced. The palm trigger on the side handles make use really easy. This is my second Bosch MR23EVS router one in fixed base and one plunge base. Having two makes life easier when making parts that need to match up.

Es muy ergonómico, la posición del gatillo facilita el trabajo, el diseño y la potencia es excelente, tengo un router DeWalt 618, y lo supera. Lo recomiendo

Lots of features, including LED light. Best thing for me is the ability to adjust bit height from the top while router was mounted in router table. Very convenient. It’s a Bosch, so very high quality, powerful. I had to drill new mounting holes in router table top to accommodate router mounting holes and height adjustment wrench, but otherwise I was up and running (routing) in a flash. This router seems to be a little smaller than the big beasts out there, but it’s just right for an avid DIY person like me.

Incredible product. I have a soft spot for Bosch in general, but I purchased this product to help me build frames for pictures I needed framed from travels (maps, photos etc.) I own a Router table as well and this product was the perfect match. I doubt that a Bosch product would have the audacity to break, but if it does, I would purchase again. Client for life.

Absolutely phenomenal router! I have used several routers over the years and find this to be superior. I am not a professional woodworker, but I have spent a decent amount of time using routers. My main reason for loving this router is the on/off trigger button on the handle. I don’t know why every router doesn’t have this. I feel like it gives the end user superior control over the router and makes it so much safer to use than other brands (I think the soft start also contributes to that). I mainly use a 1/2” diameter flush trim bit to run along templates to make cutouts in 3/4” thick birch and red oak plywood. The router has plenty of power to perform this task. I have not used it in a router table so I can not speak about that, but I am over the moon thrilled about using it for all of the freehand routing i do.

For those who have not, it is quite, smooth and a dream to handle. Love the handle off/on switch. I must admit I had my reservations after many Delta routers. After reading your reviews from others I thought I would take a chance. It took a few jobs to get used to it because it is a whole different feel than my previous routers. But after that I knew I made the right decision. You cannot go wrong with this unit.

I also own a Bosch 1619EVS Plunge router (recently purchased) which I am very pleased with, which is why I chose to buy the Bosch MRF23VRS Fixed Base router. I was not disappointed, it also is a quality product. It came as advertised with a 1/2" & 1/4" collets and the usual collet spanners. Bosch should also include a base / guide bush centering tool, it is essential with a fixed base router to make sure the base and guide bush is centered (even though they claim the base is centered during product assembly - Mine was off center and had to be corrected) and especially if you are going to use a dovetail jig etc. Bosch advertise this router as being a good choice for use with jigs. The height adjustment both coarse and micro are accurate. the handles which also contain the power switch and "lock on" are very comfortable, the built in base lights are a plus helping to illuminate the cutting area, especially when using the router with jigs. Some minor issues, but overall I am pleased with my purchase, and would highly recommend this product to friends.
