The unit came with just 2 regular filters not the 2 blue long lasting filters that were described in the description.

It is a great way to clean up your drinking water. One day a few months ago, I was looking at the source of the bottled water I was depending on for clean safe drinking water and I discovered that most of the bottled water was just tap water from a different city that may or may not be safe to drink. This seemed like the best solution.

I use this Pitcher every day for my drinking and coffee=maker water. Water where I live does not taste good and I chose this Brita with the special filters after consulting reliable sources. They do what they say in their promotion materials. Supposedly the filter will last 6 months. Let's wait and see.

Pro: Improved intake, to prevent unfiltered water to pour out (it cannot be done with my older 6 cup one). It is also bigger, about needs only 3 times to fill the whole pitcher, while 6 cup one need at least 4 or even more to fully fill the pitcher.Con: a little bit too big for weaker hand. I can barelly pour the whole pitcher of water.

We live in a century home. Decided we needed to filter water for heavy metals. This filter claims to so we're giving it a try. It takes a while for the water to pass through the filter. We just top it off each time we take some out. Didn't have any issues with the lid as some other reviewers have claimed. The instructions for the filter reminder are a bit weak. Took a little messing with it to get it set right. Recommended.

I love that it got my octogenarian mom to drink water. It’s too heavy for her when it is half full but in don’t mind making sure she has water beside her. The only complaint I have is that the top doesn’t close properly. If the front is down the back is popped. If the back is down the front is popped. Not sure why it came warped but when this one wears out I pray my next one isn’t warped.

Our city water always tastes like chemicals, even when filtered through the fridge. The Brita filter/pitcher has completely removed the chemical taste, this will be my go to for water from now on.
