We hung the bugs after on a shepherds, hook by the trashcan and truly minimized the number of flies that swarmed around the trashcan outside. We do a lot of outdoor entertaining and one of the things that we struggle with controlling is the flies around the trashcan. This bug zapper helps us so much, I was shocked by how little we had to swat flies away from us outside. It’s still early spring, so it’s entirely possible. We don’t have all the flights out yet. But I did enjoy having the additional support in bug control in the backyard. It’s super easy to set up and it plugged into the external outlet easily. The flies definitely did not survive after being zapped

I love having a bug zapper like this to use while camping but my old one that I had for a few years wasn't working so well since it had been accidentally dropped a time or two over the years. The metal hook on the top is great for being able to hang it up under the canopy while camping, or it can just be set on a table too. It plugs in a standard wall outlet just like my old one, but the cord length of this one is much longer which is helpful especially when hanging it, plus how lightweight this one is.Aside from camping, this works great for indoors too. I occasionally like to bring it in and plug it in in my house whenever we get a fruit fly or gnats issue and it works great to kill a variety of bugs.Overall, it's very easy to use and works quickly to start killing bugs in the vicinity. The light is bright enough to attract them and also works as a nightlight as well.

These bug zappers or traps make such a difference at home or out in nature when camping. The level of bug Infestation can either make or break you're summertime camping fun or even your relaxing lazy summer evenings in your own yard. It can be the difference between Going Out, getting out in nature & having a good time, or deciding to simply stay home and save yourself the misery that inevitably comesas a result of becoming the complimentary gourmet mosquito meal for the weekend. That is, of course, if you don't have some sort of effective protective spray or bug zapper (Such as this very zapper). And because I cannot stand the smell, and yes taste (as you inevitably get at least a tiny bit in your mouth when spraying or forgetting and later licking your lips), of bug sprays- no matter how great they claim to smell, no matter what superstar put their name and brand on the bottle and promise it has a fantastic new and "different" fragrance- and doesn't at all smell like mosquito repellent- I MUCH prefer an alternative that doesn't require my actual body in order to be effective! And got plans for romance? FUH-GETTA-BOUT-IT! Not smelling and tasting like THAT! And I don't believe them, their claims, or their fakery anyways. They ALWAYS stink. And they ALWAYS smell like a "bug repellent" of some kind. Tossing a few drops of Essential oils or a couple sticks of Nag Champa into the same old repellent mix does not magically remove that terrible repellent smell/taste. And it certainly does not make it smell better or turn it into some sort of enjoyable or enticing en vogue aromatic body spray. I don't care if it's got the face of a Kardashian on it- or not. There's nothing that can completely remove that never-ending, choke-inducing, maloderous chemical-born stench. At least not whilst still managing to remain effective against insects and mosquitoes. So let's avoid the whole nightmare altogether and use an alternative that has NOTHING to do with our bodies or putting something on them, in ANY way. And for this, I always seem to go back to these good old bug zapper machines. Tried and true, despite being vintage or old school. They work and the technology is Sound. Over time, they improve upon older versions and make them better with each new technological advancement. And that is what THIS bug zapper is. It's the old versions/technology PERFECTED. Perfected both mechanically/electronically as well as aesthetically. This little machine has been made compact and very nice looking. It's got a new age modern look to it. It looks sleek and does not take up much space. What was once an enormous and rickety old rusted out metal cage, Is now compact, pint-sized and portable! And then there is its performance: IT WORKS LIKE A BLOODY CHAMP!! It's truly as though a shield has been put up around you. But even better than that, if you sit back and watch It and all the insects/mosquitoes in the night sky, they naturally just go directly to it instead of even near you or around you- AT ALL. It's like a Mosquito Siren!! lol. They all just absent mindedly, and without any self awareness at all, become hypnotized by It's light and happily TAKE THEMSELVES directly to their own doom. Done! Easy! And far, FAR less ODERIFEROUS & offensive smelling. It's super easy to use- plug it in- there is nothing to it! And the price being asked for this Camping/Adventure Saving (and perhaps even romance-saving - wink, wink) is a very modest $29 to $39 price range. A very reasonable and respectable ask for such a product. I'm super happy with it and I can almost guarantee that YOU will be too!

I got this to use inside, because it seems that in the summer, everytime we get fruit lately, we end up with some kind of gnat invasion. This seems to be well made and has a decent cord length. I am really hopeful this will solve the problem, we have tried all the sticky kind of strips but they are in the way and look gross. It's mid winter right now, but I'm thinking ahead, and have high hopes for this. It's lightweight and doesn't take up alot of room, it's easy to move around so I can take it outside during mosquito season too. It would be better to be able to turn it on and off or have a timer, but if it gets the bugs, it will be perfect. I haven't got to zap any bugs yet, so I haven't heard that, but I also am not bothered by the usual low pitch noise that's usually emitted by these type things either. As of now, I'm giving 5 stars based on what I can tell so far, but I will be updating this review as soon as I get unwanted bugs for sure, because it will be very obvious to know how well it works once those invasions are back, or as soon as I find out where that darn moth that's eating clothes is hiding! Let's hope my update will be good news!

I really do like the size of this bug zapper because the location I will put this is minimal. You get an additional lamp tube and I have no idea what it;s used for, but I'll figure it out. This zapper isn't really heavy as all and I tested it on a outdoor vinyl hook to use when the weather gets warmer. It didn't fall off at all. For me, this is perfect due to the size and weight to hang it around while outside.
