I was excited to get this long cable lock, as I often carry expensive kayaks with me on trips and I wanted a way to lock them down. And all would have been good, except the lock failed before I could even use it. The cable is stout and nicely coated to prevent damage, but without a lock it's pretty useless. By failing, I don't mean the lock came apart; it actually locked in the setting position as I tried to set the combination. You do this by removing the cable latch from the lock with the combo at 0000, rotating the end of the lock 90 deg clockwise, setting your new combination, and then rotating the end of the lock 90 degrees back to save the combination. My lock rotated to the clockwise 90 deg position without a problem, I set my combo, and found the rotation piece was stuck in the rotated position. I tried going back to the default combination, pulling on it, pushing on it, etc., all to no avail. So, for that reason I can't really recommend this cable lock assembly. I hope I can figure out a fix, as I really like it otherwise.

This extra long cable lock is a good length to wrap around so many things - bicycle, paddle board, kayak, and many others. The cable feels durable. The combination is very easy to set.

I got this to use on my kayaks to tie them to a mounted stand. It was easy to program my own code in it, it holds up well, feels thick and durable, and the length is true to description (in my case 20'). Very happy with it!

I love this thing. I take my kayak or paddle board in so many areas where I can park and have a drink or bite to eat. I have a long cable with looped ends and a key lock but that’s cumbersome and problematic. This is one piece with combo that is simple to change the 4 digit code. This is going to make me feel more comfortable about leaving my watercraft unattended. I also use this cable lock to secure expensive items at my campsite…power station, cooler and camp stove.

I'm not going to systematically tackle this thing to find out just how secure it is, or isn't. I can tell you it was super easy to set up. The instructions were clear and concise. The cable is thick enough that it wouldn't be easily cut. It is also sheathed in flexible plastic, so it's unlikely to leave scratches on whatever it's securing.I ordered the 10' length, which is plenty long for my needs, but not too long that it becomes cumbersome.

Very useful and convenient cable that use for bikes and kayaks. I can secure 2 kayaks to the roof top carrier with the 10 ft cable because of the bolting rings I attached to my kayaks. However a 15 ft cable might be better for most people for attaching two kayaks. I don’t like having more cable than I need. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The cable is sturdy and will protect from grab and run type thieves.

This is strong and it will definitely keep my kayak pretty safe in most situations. I keep it covered out back of my house, and we have a fence, but the fence does not go all the way around. Also, sometimes we go kayaking to an area where we can leave them on the beach for a bit and go eat. This longer cable lock is great for hooking them together. It is easy to change the combination (when I want to), and the cable is strong.

This bike like is really nice. SUPER long so I can thread it through both wheels and the frame, which is important. The combo is easy to set and it opens and closes very easily.
