This fishing net has a lot going for it. Not only does it fold and collapse into a small item, the net shape itself is like a triangle. Most fishing nets are either tear shaped or a circle, but the triangle puts the widest portion into the water where the fish would be.The net locks in the open position, but when you fold it up nothing keeps it folded. I added a velcro strip that serves that purpose quite nicely. It is circled in the photo.

This is a great net. It's plenty big for the fish I am going after. It's quite sturdy and I have no worries about its ability to hold my catch. The folding functionality is great and enables me to clip it on my fishing backpack as I move around from spot to spot. I highly recommend this net.

While this net is going to be a bit too small for ocean salmon, it is IDEAL for the bevy of rockfish species we catch off of the Pacific Coast. The mesh is ideal for handling these spiny critters and lightweight making it perfect for handling my rod in one hand, the net in the other. It's especially ideal for lingcod, which we really want to net since they are such a highly prized fish for retention, yet we have to measure to make sure they're larger than 22".Just a few trials to date, but I'm confident that the materials that went into making this landing net with provide me with a lot of use in the seasons ahead! Thanks for making another great product!

I have the 31" fixed pole and I love how compact this net is when it's folded. It's perfect for those that have limited storage space, but it still has decent reach when extended for most applications. It would be difficult to use on boats that sit higher on the water, such as pontoons, but fishing isn't usually the primary purpose of those boats. For Bass/Walleye boats and canoes/kayaks, this would be perfect! I got the PVC coated version and it seems very durable. It also has a carabiner clip and a belt clip if you're fishing from shore or with waders. Overall, a great buy!

Handy net for when I'm fishing on the go. It folds nicely to attach to my pack. Snaps open with one quick movement. It has a non slip handle. There is a clip on the net and a carabiner on the strap for easy stow and access. Another great product from Kastking

I got this net to use when I go lake fishing. Most of my go to spots require some moderate hiking so I wanted a net that would fold and fit in my backpack. This net is perfect! It’s super portable, easy to unfold, and quick to get back to backpack size. It’s great for the heavy fish I catch. I can tell it’s tough and I don’t have any concerns about the quality or durability. Definitely better than the string nets I have used in the past. It’s gets an A+ from me!

I took this out fishing with me but couldn't really test it out because I didn't catch anything. But during those 6 hours on a boat, I got to look at the net very closely.The net is pretty lightweight and very convenient to carry around. There's a clip and it folds up nicely. There's also a lanyard with a carabiner so you can just drop the net while its' clipped onto you.It does feel flimsy compared to my other non-folding nets I have. I wouldn't use it for a fish over maybe 10 or so lbs. The latching mechanism is plastic and I feel this would be the weakest point on the net. Because the mechanism has some give in it, it makes the net feel loose or wobbly. This is great for lake fishing where the fish aren't too big but I would prefer a not-folding net for ocean fishing.
