I was looking for a long 1/8 inch hex bit that was also a socket type tool. This fit the bill and I know people might say, why do you need it as a socket? Options. I like having the option to use it in a socket wrench or with my socket adapters I can use it in a cordless drill/driver unit. The key is having length to get deep into small holes where the setscrews or bolt heads are deep within the unit. Because the diameter is the same on the entire length, it fits in deep.

Used in impact to remove stuck set screw on inducer fan wheel. Was only able to remove set screw on one. The rest were too stuck to remove. Thankfully the adapter didn’t break to pieces when I used it with my impact drill. Seems to be built well, don’t see any evidence of the bit twisting, even after using with 12v impact drill.
