This insulation material has made a noticeable difference in my car. I used it in the trunk to try and quiet down the road noise, and I'm happy with the results. It wasn't difficult to install; the smaller sheets were manageable, and the adhesive stuck well. I was a little worried about how it would hold up to the heat, but I figure it'll do ok where it's at. My car's trunk is definitely quieter now. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to improve their car's sound and thermal insulation.

Pretty good for the price. Wish it can be heavier.

As far as I can tell these insulation mats are good quality and will perform as expected. Ideally you’ll want a brayer to flatten them out and ensure good adhesion. I got them with the intention to add soundproofing to my car’s doors and floor. I’ve had them for well over a month and still haven’t found time to install them because I underestimated just how big of a project it would be. It’s a pain to take apart car doors – you have to locate hidden screws, remove clips without breaking them, and unplug stubborn wire harnesses without breaking any wires. Getting under your carpet is just as difficult. You’ll have to remove the car seats to do it properly. You need to disconnect the car battery because there’s a risk of airbags going off when you start unplugging the seat belt wires. Car seats weigh a ton and they’re awkward to get out of the vehicle. I’ll update this review if I ever get around to installing this material and find out whether it makes a noticeable difference in road noise. Just be sure you actually have the time and patience to install this stuff before ordering it.

I personally wouldn't use these under the hood unless they will be hidden by a factory cover. Using a single large piece instead of having all the seams would look better. This product is better suited for interior firewall, floorboards, doors, and/or above the headliner. Basically, anywhere it will be covered up and protected.
