I learned the hard way after spaying one cat that she absolutely hated the plastic cone the vet gave me, and I felt like I was torturing the poor thing. She escaped more than once.With another cat coming up for spaying I'm preparing with a variety of softer more comfy cones. I'm not so sure that a determined cat could not squeeze out of this one, but perhaps they won't want to escape so badly as it is soft.

Easy to put on and fits my 4 lb. Yorkie well. Should be helpful with post surgery recovery.
