The Clever Coffee Dripper combines the best features of French Press and filter drip brewing, eliminating the drawbacks of each.
By adding a stopper to a filter cone, the Clever Coffee Dripper combines control over steeping time with a sediment free cup.
The dripper will fit on cups and thermoses with tops wider than 1.5" and less than 3.75" in diameter. Of course, if you put the dripper on a very narrow thermos you should make sure it is stable.
Cleaning: Cleaning the Clever Coffee Dripper is very easy. Just dispose of the used grounds and filter and rinse. Do not allow residue to build up in the filter. Lightly scrub the cone with very hot water and a sponge or brush, taking care to clean shut off mechanism lightly from the top. If necessary, use a detergent-free cleaner designed for carafes and filter cones.

I love the simplicity of a pour over coffee maker and wanted something that would 1) allow me to use a filter for easy cleaning, 2) allow the water to sit in the holder with the grounds for the desired amount of time for strength, 3) have a lid on the top to keep the water hot, 4) be large enough to hold approx 11 oz of coffee, and 5) has a handle. This product checks all those boxes. And most important, it makes GREAT coffee!Cons: 1) I don’t love that the lid is plastic. I don’t think it helps to keep the brewing coffee as hot as it could be. 2) The large cups that I love to use every day are too big for the dripper to seat properly, so the dripper sits a bit awkwardly on the cup. I realize this is my issue but still worth mentioning, 3) I wish there were measurement lines on the dripper so you could tell how much water you are pouring in. 4) it’s not very pretty to look at. Again, that’s my issue, but so many coffee making devices are stylish. This one could use a little updating.

O calor da água deve ter dilatado os poros do acrílico e este incorporou o papel.O de vidro não é para acontecer isto. O problema dele é que as partes de silicone não saem todas, comprometendo a limpeza. De resto, é tudo de bom. De plástico hoje, mal o Aeropress. O restante, tudo de vidro ou cerâmica.

I love the quality and convenience of the glass Clever Dripper, and the addition of the larger #6 filters improve the flavor and option for larger volume even more. The Melitta filters are very sturdy, and I use my fingers to push the filter down into the base of the cone, around the two flexible black projections that stick up from the base. This fills the space between the glass and the filter, so there is less area for plain hot water without coffee grounds to dilute the result. Ater adding hot water and coffee grounds, I stir it in, then add more hot water to the upper rim of the glass. This produces 16 ounces of rich, full-flavored coffee in one batch. It shortens the prep time for our two cups of barista-quality joe each morning.

This unit is really ingenious. It's so simple and obvious, makes you wonder why it took so long to invent it. Just pour your hot water over the grounds, and when it's ready set it on the cup and it automatically discharges the brew. Compared to the French press, clean up is much faster. Pull the paper filter out, dump it, then rinse the unit and your done. With the French press you need to take apart the filter and rinse each part, wash the used grounds out of the unit which can be messy. Both make good coffee, but the Clever is much faster and well worth the paper filters you use.

Best cup off coffee you will ever make. It comes with a few filters to test, but make sure to buy replacements because there are only a few. Great size for single brew. Easy to clean and maintain. I have been brewing coffee with it every morning.

My family has been using Clever Coffee Drippers for years and years. It makes *great* coffee with the ease of a drip cone but you can custom brew like a French Press without getting any of the gritty sludge of the French Press. Pristine coffee in 3 or 5 or 7 minutes to your taste!In the past, with the original plastic design, we got occasional broken legs that made it hard to keep the CCD level during brewing. And, inevitably, they stained. That didn't affect the flavor at all, but it really *did* have a negative effect on the appearance.This new glass design is great! The cone is very strong & durable and the base is now flat 360˚ around and can't break and tip to one side. The glass won't stain and that's a *major* improvement.The sole issue with this design in the round handle. When you lift the CCD to put the cone on your cup and release your brew you need a secure hold. The handle is strong enough but the round shape means that if your hand isn't dry it slips because all the weight is on one side. I hope they'll address this in their next edition but I consider it minor in comparison with how we've loved this brew system for so many years.

I always loved the Clever coffee dripper as it allows you to control the brewing time and immersion perfectly. The glas version is even better as more stylish, better to clean and just cleaner taste (though the latter may just be my subjective feel). I can't follow other reviews issues with the filter clinging to the glass too much as I can easily lift the used filter out of the glas without any spillage and the cleaning is super easy just hold it under running water, the glass dries easily without any residue which I could not say for the plastic version. Nonetheless, the price is steep for the glass version but I noticed that even the plastic version has increased in price.

I've been drinking coffee and experimenting with different brewing techniques for the last 3 years. I've tried regular drip, chemex, french press, aeropress, and everything in between. When a barista recommended the clever dripper, I was skeptical. Every other "perfect" solution has had a fatal flaw. Drip is over-extracted and tastes burnt, chemex is inconsistent and makes too much for one person, the french press is horrible to clean, the aeropress doesn't make enough and is hard to use.Despite my skepticism, after using the Clever dripper for the past couple months, I can truthfully say it's as close to a perfect coffee brewer as I've ever found. It consistently brews rich, flavorful, and delicious coffee, is idiot-proof to use, and extremely easy to clean. I can't recommend it enough. All I do each morning is heat up some water, toss in some medium-ground coffee, add the water, let it sit for 4.5 minutes, and voila! Perfect coffee every time.Add to that the fact that this particular model has a glass funnel and it's truly perfect! Could not recommend it highly enough. Grab this marvelous little device and leave your relentless coffee brewing experiments in the rear-view mirror.
