Sodastream canisters are obscenely over priced and barely make it worth the trouble of the Sodastream. So I bought a large CO2 canister locally for under $100. I freeze the Sodastream canisters first, fill, and freeze again. This reduces the gas pressure in the Sodastream canisters and allows room for more CO2. I have three canisters and refill them all about every month or two. It’s really easy. Look at Youtube videos for procedure.

Just gently put the SodaStream canister in to the mechanism then snug the relief valve but not over one of the two small holes. Your big canister needs to have a siphon tube so it gets the liquid at the bottom to go into your SodaStream canister and the canister should be as close to upright as possible. Not upside down like some of the picture show. Gently open the pressure valve on the tank and it will fill the canister in about 3 or 4 seconds. Then close the tank valve. Then gently unscrew the releaf valve just enough to release the pressure. Then gently remove the cannister 😀 Some folks freeze the cannister before hand so there is less pressure in the cannister so it holds more Co2

Build quality is Very Good! Gauge is ‘nice’ but not needed. Recommend freezing the Soda Stream bottle before refilling as you can get twice as much CO2 in the Soda Stream bottle then. Put the bottle on up side down, screw the vent release valve closed, open the CO2 bottle valve and wait for ‘noise’ to stop, close CO2 valve, open vent valve, remove Soda Steam bottle and DONE :-) I have a 20Lb bottle and get 18 refills. For price if CO2 bottle, getting it filled and adapter, 30Lb of CO2 and everything is paid for verse swapping Soda Steam bottles out. Buy again: YES

Don't know why I thought this would work. Its a total piece of trash. My soda stream tank doesn't even make with this thing.

It would be good if they were more clear in how to use it. CO2 is a liquid at pressure, just like propane. So when you are using this you need to invert the tank you are filling from. It also helps to freeze the tank you are filling beforehand. Doing so I was able to get around 400g added to my empty tank. It's good to weigh your tanks before and after to know how empty/ full they are. Also, make sure to tighten down the holding screw before opening the valve on the filling tank, then after you turn off the full valve, back off the holding screw until pressure is released.

Working great for me. I bought a 20# canister off Marketplace and had it filled at a local fire extinguisher supplier for $30. Then you just screw this thing on the tank and it's ready to go.First, freeze your pink canister, then latch it onto this thing. Open the tank and the canister fills within seconds. Way easier and cheaper than replacing the canister. There's a video on Youtube that shows exactly how to use this item.
