Helps direct water and looks good doing it.

I like the fact that it was similar to my rain chain and it does do a good job of directing the water into the rain chain. Since the old downspout adapter was there, the hole was too big to catch all of the water coming down. I also added a few copper “chore-boy” scrubbers above it to help slow down and manage the flow of the water better during a heavy downpour. I wound up screwing it to my downspout adapter instead of using the included hanger.

This works great for my application. I had trimmed the down spout and folded in the edges but the water wasn’t taking to it because the edges are not smooth like a funnel. This reall collects the water well. However I think it won’t handle a really heavy rainfall. I tested with a garden hose and it wasn’t keeping up super well without splashing all over.My only gripe and it’s not a bad mark on the project... but I bent the lower hook wire to hook on my chain and i can’t get it bent back. This is more my issue not having the tool I need to get in there to bend it. I’ll figure it out but for now things are fine.Only think I’m sad about is this is real copper (or so they say) and as it weathers my chain won’t because it’s painted rather than actual copper. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I just bought some bulk decorative swag lamp chain from another site on Amazon and folded a 16 foot piece in half and attached it to this to make my own rain chains.Instead of $50--to however much your are willing to pay, I'm making my own now and they look great. The whole deal came home for under $20, and I'm just getting started.Look at the section on rain chains and see if I'm not right. They are real easy to attach right under an eave of your house, gutter or no gutter.I strung a piece of finer chrome chain across the fascia boards with some 2" deck screws with washers under them to span that 90 degree angle right under the valley, and used a 2"- 'S' hook to make the hanger. This is just my mock-up. It looks great but more ideas will occur to me in the fullness of time.

This adapter is just what I needed. The downspouts for my gutter are slightly bigger than the rain chain cup, so water was going straight down onto the ground. This adapter is large enough to catch the water from the gutter and funnel it into the chain cup. Perfect! It is brighter than my chain, but I'm sure that time will give it a lovely patina. I really do love these.Be aware that you may not receive a hanger for the gutter. I ordered two of these; one had the hanger and one did not. We received hangers with our chains, but the one with the adapter is shorter, a good thing, and sturdier.

This funnel directs water from your gutter spout to a rainchain. I found this to be a necessary addition because water runs down the rim of my downspout and completely misses the rainchain bolted in the center. This funnel collects the water falling out of my downspout and redirects it to my "infinity" rainchain. Works perfectly. Its top diameter is significantly larger than my downspout and the neck is much smaller. Installation is easy since I simply threaded my chain through it. (The funnel hangs on my rainchain, not the spout). Now water actually runs down my chain in the ideal manner (rainchains are temperamental). It is well made and more than sturdy enough. I'm happy to have this as part of my rainchain.

The copper rain spouts/rain chains are fairly easy to assemble, but they are even easier if you get the reducer, which sits in the gutter where the downspout was, and a simple "triangle or hanger-like" object, which is included, goes into that (and the rain chain/spout attaches to the the copper hanger). The price is right, it goes well with the rain chain, and probably lends it a bit more stability.
