Council Tool Company is proud to announce the newly designed Pickaroon logging tool. This is a unique design and doesn't replace our current Red Head Hookaroon. There is some crossover between both firewood tools, but the Council Toll Pickaroon will stand out on its own in terms of performing specific and important tasks and overall usability.
MAIN FEATURES:
- 1.5 lbs. head with good balance;
- 3-sided pick, sharpened to a point out of the box;
- Under-cutter on the bottom side of the pick can be used to cleave off small limbs;
- Large poll face to help pound bucking wedges or felling wedges;
- Full-sized standard axe eye for readily available replacement handles;
- 36" curved waxed handle option with fawn's foot;
- Note: with the head being shorter than a full-sized axe head, the overall lengths will be just under 36";

Well made, but the tip must be reprofiled the actually work.The shape of the tip is too blunt to bite the wood consistently. Round off the edges of the point on a grinder or use a file, then you have a beautiful tool that works as good as it looks.Or, buy a Fiskars that looks odd, but works great. I have both.

Very well made! Love the USA stamp. It is certainly the right tool for picking up and moving logs. This is my 2nd council tool product and I'm very inpressed. I am glad that I went with the 36" hand for the longerreach.

When bucking, stacking, moving fire wood rounds, this tool is fantastic. I regret that I first learned about in my 70's! I have back issues and this tool makes a big difference in my ability to get up rounds. Everyone I show it to wants one. It adds to my pleasure of owning that it is made in the USA!
