This frame exactly fit the canvass painting I needed to frame. The dimensions were right, and installing the small brackets that keep the painting in place were easy to screw in. The black wood is attractive and unobtrusive, not taking away from the subtle coloring of the painting itself.

The frame is is most able to display any of your favotite works on canvas. The size you order is the size of the canvas. Offset and complete coverage allowances for mounting are already figured into sizing. Fasteners, hardware, and hanging wire are included and perfectly matched for the task.My selection of this model frame was to acommodate a small 6” square canvas rendition of a very special kitty of mine, recently passed, A local painter associate of Chewy.com painted a perfect likeness from a photo and gifted it to me.This frame looks better than its ad photos and you will be pleasingly impressed when you mount your work and reveal the combination for the first time..Simple measurement and a Phillips head screwdriver are anout all that’s needed to quickly mount your canvas from the back. Be sure to protect the work by padding or a towel placed on the table surface you are using for mounting. That first reveal will be stunning when you are finished and turn it over.Minor negatives: The back side of the frame may have some staples in it from the packaging that need removal. It is a small task but care must be used to avoid added marking on the frame - even though it is the back side. Also: a few small markings (assumably from original assembly) were present on the non-visible side of the frame when I unwrapped it. But nothing but “beauty” is visible on the display sides and edges of the frame.I recommend this frame for all such works to be expressed on canvas - to be proudly - or lovingly encompassed by a truly striking border - for home, office, or gift, - when you want a special floating appearance, setting your image in a frame worthy of that special subject captured on canvas.

I love this frame! When I ordered the canvas print, I planned on using it unframed, but the white background color didn’t show up well against my yellow wall. The black frame is just what it needed. My canvas is really thicker than it is supposed to be for the frame, but it works fine and really makes a great picture even better! Great quality, too.

In contrary to its advertisement, the frame does indeed cover up some portion of my 12 x 12 canvas print. The canvas does not float in the frame. The frame itself was hideous. It looked as if it were spray painted with something close to chalkboard paint. When the pricing label was removed from the exterior of the frame, it left a visible outline of the entire label on the frame. Such carelessness. Believe it or not, the four protective paper corners were actually stapled, twice in each corner, onto the frame. Once the staples were removed, small white holes remained that would have have to be filled in with black paint, or marker, since the frame is black. All four corners of the frame were glued sloppily.. Overall, there were scratches, discoloration and marks all over the frame. This really was the worst new, non-vintage, frame I have ever purchased.

Installing the mounting tabs was a bit tricky. It would be nice if the holes in the frame had been pre-drilled. As it is, the holes are a bit too close to the edge of the frame causing me to completely ruin one of them (not a problem since these are on the back invisible side). Although this frame seems strong and looks good on the wall, it is made from some kind of composite material that is definitely not solid wood.

I had ordered two of the black ones to frame my original paintings , one of which unfortunately turned out to be the wrong size but will keep for future use. They are well made, easy to put together and look professional. Just wish that they weren't so pricey ( plus shipping) or maybe a discount for purchasing several at once, so that I could frame more of my work.

It came so much earlier! I was surprised. It is made of cheap wood BUT worth every penny!! I could not afford expensive frame so I decided to try this kind. My painting looks amazing in this frame! It got 3D look. I'm very pleased! Just what I was looking for! Btw I ordered 24x24 black frame.
