I purchased these while in weakened condition at nursing home. By the time I was released a one pound weight gave little resistance. Would get heavier weights..Consider if you would actually use these little guys and maybe choose more weight..

I bought these to help with my physical therapy at home and they work great. The only downside is they're made for smaller hands than mine, which wasn't obvious from the product page.

The coating on the weights is a rough plastic dipped material they don't feel good in your hand. Something about it attracted my cat who chewed on these, until the cover in spots was gone. I think there are better to be had than these.

I ordered these on Monday and got them on Tuesday! As for other less positive reviews, I’m not sure what to say. The handle is thicker than what I had before (see photo) and they really look great, too. Just make sure that you click on the weight you want to ensure they don’t send you a lighter or heavier set. Your search may pull these up, even if you were searching for a dumbbell of a different weight. Going down on the ad I noticed the box to select color and weight. I chose black 10lb weights and that’s what I received. Perfect!
