Was well made and reasonably priced. Returned because it didn't fit my filter

Built stronger than anyone should ever need considering its only cranking down a few ft-lbs for an oil filter.Fits OEM Honda Silverwing 600 oil filter but its MAYBE a little too snug.It doesn't want to come off or let go of the oil filter.I nearly left the wrench on the new filter because i couldn't get it off.Got it off with a little wiggling though so some would say its a perfect fit.Ill be keeping it, that's for sure.

This is a very well made oil filter wrench and while some are complaining about no exterior weld on the drive nut, if you look inside the weld is very plain to see and appears to be CNC welded so it's perfect and quite strong.I like the finish of the wrench, it's easy to wipe off and if there is oil or debris anywhere on it, you'll be able to spot it immediately and wipe the part off to insure a nice, clean installation.

As the title states, this oil filter wrench worked perfectly for the U.S.-made WIX 57356 oil filter made for a 2001-2006 Acura MDX. The wrench is well-made and a good, tight fit for a 64mm 14-facet oil filter. I used a 3/8" socket wrench. Fast shipment. Highly recommended.

After many many different oil filter tools for a stubborn oil filter (chain, strap, wrench, other caps, universal clamp) this finally got it free. The welding looks a little iffy I'm not sure how it'll hold up if i had to apply more pressure since it looked like only the inside of the nut was welded on? I changed my oil filters to the ones that have a nut at the end so hopefully this was a once and done tool. I wouldn't trust it to hold up overtime but for 10 bucks it saved me a headache and another trip to the auto shop.

Worked perfectly on my 2013 BMW 328i X-Drive (F30) and my 2011 BMW 528i (F10). Seriously buy this product it makes the removal of the filter cap so much simpler. It is setup for 3/8" drive or you could use a set of channel locks for the removal. Before I bought this product I had drained the oil in my 528i and wasn't able to remove the cap. Bought a strap wrench that was a waste of money and if my father-in-law did not have a huge set of channel locks I would have never gotten it loose. I was lucky not to have damaged the cap, so buy the product and your oil change will be a breeze. Huge savings to change your BMW oil yourself!

I've worked in a BMW dealership for 6 months now and have used this just about every day now. Good because: it's cheap, fits N52, N54, N55, N20, and N63 engines. Bad because it's already starting to round out. At first it fit the filter housings snugly, but now it has a little play in the fit and has to be tapped to knock it off of the filter caps. But for somebody who just wants to do DIY work, this is your tool. As for professional use, I'll probably get one off of the tool truck now.

I haven't used it yet, but it's good quality and should do the job on the next oil change. Should of bought it BEFORE tackling the first non-dealer 2011 VW Golf oil change. Stupid 25ft-lb torqued plastic filter housing would not budge with other generic strap tools, but this is the right tool for the job.Follow up - I've now used it. Works great, no issues.

I was needing a filter wrench for my 2001 Volvo V70XC and couldn't find anything that fit from the local auto parts stores. Not knowing what to expect, I took a chance on this one since most of the reviews were 5 star and the price was exceptional. When I received it, I was quite pleased with the construction and finish. I have a brand new oil filter housing for my Volvo (since the one currently on my car is chewed up from the former owner using slip-jaw pliers or something on it) and the fit is perfect! I have worked as a mechanic my whole life (aircraft & automotive), and spent a couple of years as a technician at an automotive dealership and I can say that the tool looks like it is designed for heavy-duty use.The stamped steel housing is thicker than those found in local auto parts stores and the drive adapter has a thick arc welded bead along the inside of the tool. So, it appears to be made to hold up to some fairly heavy torque. Although the product description states that it is 1/2", the drive adapter is actually made for direct attachment to a 3/8" drive. Perhaps this error stems from the fact that they offer a much larger wrench (118-131mm) and this is a more accurate description of their other offerings. The 3/8" drive adapter works perfectly and a 21mm socket fits nicely on the external hex. Fits with SAE sizes are a mixed bag, though. I was able to attach a 13/16" 12-pt. box-end wrench, but not the opposing open-end. A similarly sized 13/16" 6-pt. socket was extremely tight, so I wouldn't recommend this size and would just go with the 21mm if you had to use the external hex. Otherwise, just use the 3/8" drive adapter for easiest use of this tool. The adapter also incorporates ball detents on all four sides of the internal 3/8" drive, so your ratchet or extension won't easily fall off while in use.Since this tool is made for oil filter removal & installation, I'm sure that it will deliver as promised. I'll post an update after my next oil change and I get a chance to use it and install the new filter housing I have.

Hi:This is a well made and super quality " Cap Style " oil filter wrench. If you own a "Briggs and Stratton" motor that requires a "Briggs and Stratton" oil filter # 492932S or is a 74mm filter with 14 Flutes then buy this oil wrench. I bought this wrench because my "Sears Craftsman" Ride On has a "Briggs and Stratton" 20 HP Twin V " Intek " motor, with limited { ZERO } space to work in the oil filter area.Be sure to lightly oil both the inside of the wrench and the outside of the oil filter before sticking the wrench on the filter. You can clean up both with paper towels afterwards. This will help when removing the wrench after you instal the filter. This precision tool fits like a glove on the 492932S " Briggs and Stratton " filters.Note: after you tighten the filter by hand remember you only turn any filter a 1/2 more revolution ( turn ), and that is all thats required to keep it securely in place. Over tighten any oil filter and you will almost have to chisel it off, or run a screwdriver through both sides and then you will still have quite a time removing that over tightened filter. REMEMBER { 1/2 turn more after you snug it up with your hands }.The tool is not gold as illustrate, it's silver coloured. I put a black dot on the silver paint of the wrench with a permanent magic marker. That way I can accurately gauge exactly where the 1/2 more turn will be in relation ship to that black dot, when I'm tightening it on that final 1/2 turn with any 3/8th ratchet wrench or socket bar.Sure hope this helps all you "Briggs and Stratton" owners. It sure helped me. I hated doing oil changes before I found this great oil wrench tool. Now it only takes a single minute to both remove and install a new " Briggs and Stratton " # 492932S oil filter.
