The Taikemeti DC5-60V Hour Meter works great for my generator. I use the 5 volts from the USB port to power it, and as you can see, I’ve only run it for about 15 minutes since I installed it. I did a bit of a test 3D print for a cover over the USB port that is powering the hour meter. This setup works out perfectly as I never use that USB port anyway. Additionally, I installed the hour meter in a way that is completely reversible to avoid voiding the warranty on the generator by cutting a hole or adding screw holes.Overall, the hour meter seems to work fine. I kind of wish there was a way to erase the recorded hours, but I understand the appeal of a non-resettable hour meter for maintenance equipment, generators, etc. It would have been nice if you could reset it to 0, perhaps by holding a button for over a minute while powering it up. Other than that, it works well for my needs.Just another note: for what it is, the price could be a little better.

Very good Hour Meter. Easy to install - negative to negative and positive to positive. Of course, you only want power supplied to the unit when the machine is running, but if you are purchasing an hour meter for a machine, you already know that. There is a 50hr maintenance reminder. That's nice. Not something I necessarily want or need, but it's fine that its there. NNice contrast in the numbers when I started running the meter at 12vDC.There is nice plastic bezel around the unit, but I see that you can remove that if your application is something different.Fun fact - first hour meter I ever installed, was in a small tractor. Decided to mount the meter on the rear fender - sheet metal. Must have taken me about two hours - drilling holes, filing and more filing. Now, I look for somewhere plastic!Bottom line - a good, solid hour meter. Zero issues. Zero complaints.
