The tank works as designed, which is the most important part. It is impossible to put gas in it with the filter in place, as the gas overflows and goes everywhere. I wasted a gallon trying to get it to go in. It needed to be removed in order to fill it, which defeats the purpose. The hose is difficult to attach to the tank compared to other hoses similar to this, which made me wonder if the hose would work once fuel was put in the tank; the fit is off. I only use ethanol free gas, so 6 gallons is an expensive test. I was worried the hose would not work at all, due to the fit. It did work, but I doubt this is a long term tank if that is what you need. I will attach a photo later.

The rubber gas line became hard and brittle in less than 6 weeks. It was protected from the sun, rain, and not exposed to extreme temps. I’m worried it’s going to crack and need to replace it.

The tank permanently leaks fuel which becomes dangerous. Despite having tightened the screws, it continues to leak fuel both through the cover and around the hose connector flange.

I received the 6 gallon tank and it came with a grey hose and fuel filter. Am I supposed to install these. There are no instructions.3 stars until I figure this out and test the tank.I have updated my review to 5 stars because I have tested the tank and it works as it should. I still don’t know why the extra parts came with it but I didn’t need them.

This worked for a month. It then leaked all over. The tank inlet is faulty and the hose ball bearing fell out also

So you found a dead car that you feel that you can resurrect? This "boat tank" can be your helper. Comes complete with many of the items you will need for your revival ceremony. I added an electric fuel pump to ensure fuel flow past the helpful bulb primer that is included. Keep a fire extinguisher handy along with this tank and its highly flammable contents, Safety First! May your Resurrections be fruitful! Tighten the screws on this tank as they were all loose upon checking.
