The comments and description said this fit - that was not exactly right. I have a 2018 Indian Roadmaster Classic and only two of the four mounting holes matched. In order to get the other two to fit I would have to drilled two new holes onto my frame. NO WAY I’M DOING THAT!!! I got it to work with the existing two mounting holes but would have been way happier if all four mounting holes matched. That’s the reason for only Three Stars.

I have a 2018 Indian Classic and I'm old and fat. Back would has always been a issue and long rides don't help. I didn't want to spend 700 on a back rest from Indian. Saw this on Amazon and had good write-ups so thought I'd give it a shot.Installed pretty easy, not 100% lined up, but was able to manhandle it and make it work. That was really the only issue that I ran into. Took maybe an hour to install, pulling the seat takes about as much time as installing this.So that being said it's 100% worth the time and effort. Man feels great leaning back and feeling this supporting my lower back.Con- Now I've got to flip my leg over the backrest and I'm old and fat and that sucks.

this took me less15 minutes to install. Easy to take on and off. Sturdy and comfortable to ride with. i love it.

I was going to return this back rest as the holes were not lining up but with the help of a friend we had to ream out one of the holes to make it fit.In the end it worked and I do appreciate the back rest. I wouldn’t recommend this if you except a perfect fit. The price is far cheaper then the original OEM part.

...to bend the brackets to make them all the same angle, to apply drill adjustments, to file/soften all edges, and have a package of washers ready to level/offset when mounting. That's after repainting with anti-rust spray paint because the powder coating just flakes off everywhere.OTHERYou must cut off a piece of the plastic from the extended reach seat so the slot is reachable. The actual pad is good. It's easy to take on and off - but: it wobbles quite a bit front/rear and mainly left/right. It just sits in a plastic guide that I fear will break soon which renders the entire item useless. For a bit over 100 bucks it's OK I guess.

2020 road master icon. Can’t beat the price for $129 with Indian asking $500 for pretty much the same thing. It’s comfortable pops on and off easy and really adds support for the lower back. I think this will be a game changer for the long ride. Install was a little bit of a pain one of the mounting legs had to be adjusted as I could only get 3 bolts in. After a little love with a mini sledge and a brass punch problem solved. This is made from heavy steel and should hold up

I was hesitant on ordering the backrest as it an "OFF" brand. Obviously if you are reading this your lower back hurt too or looking for better comfort on long rides. It is a BIG support for me (5'10"). The "leather" is soft and not real I think. but matches the O.E. seat for the most part. You can adjust up and down. Forward or back by bolt but not recline like some of the fancy ones on HDs. Installation was straight forward and came with crude but easy to follow directions. only reason for 4 stars is the leather feels a fake. Other than that a good deal for $100 compared to the $250-$300 ones. It also has a pocket for passenger not pictured or said in original description.
