The micro-fine depth adjustment ring provides precise depth adjustments in 1/64" increments and adjusts vertically for a constant switch/cordset location. Adjustable, tool-free steel motor cam lock makes depth adjustment and base changes quick and solid-locking, with quick release motor latches for fast and easy motor pack removal for bit and base changes. It has rubber overmolded handles and a low center of gravity design which provides best-in-class comfort, balance, and control. A heavy-duty, precision machined, die-cast aluminum base and motor housing for durability and low tool weight.

I thought I ordered a Dewalt 6184 fixed base for my router table.When the package arrived, I opened it and was surprised to find a yellow box that looked exactly like a Dewalt product package.After opening the product package I was amazed to find a fixed router base with a Dewalt label, and a part number of 6184, and it looks to be unused and ready to be mounted. Really not sure what to make of it... I think I got a genuine Dewalt 6184 Fixed Router Base.For those familiar with Dewalt routers, there is no explanation necessary, for those not familiar, there is no explanation available.

Fits like expected of any OEM part (and priced as such). Nothing fancy. Was purchased as a second base that can be quickly swapped between.4/5 STARS: arrived packaged loose in an oversized shipping box, with minor blemishes.

I ordered the DEWALT DW6184 Fixed Base to have as an extra mount when using the router on a table. When I received the item it wasn't packaged well and when I opened it, I noticed quickly that this wasn't a new item. Upon further inspection, I looked inside and notice that it already had scuff marks letting me know that this was a used item.(Take a look at the pictures) and the outside of the housing also had marks. The handles also had indents on them. Very disappointing coming from a big brand!

I'm building a number of router fixtures and it's a heck of a lot easier to keep the base in place and move the motor around. This is what you need...it's the OEM base and works as well as your original one.

This was purchased as a second fixed base for the ease of keeping the original in my router table. This shipped in a timely manner and is exactly like the base that comes with the router. The base also shipped with the plastic depth ring. Quality built and have had no problems. Would recommend without hesitation.
